VF wagon, would you buy one?

Awesome buy mate. Well done ... As a fellow wagon owner I'd have to agree. One of the best cars I've ever owned.

    Maloo side skirts

No. But if I get around to it I'll upload some here.

    Maloo side skirts

ok, sorry ..... I made up some "extensions" using a block of mild steel. I cut a groove in it with a plasma cutter which will sit over the body seam where the lifting point is. This allows me to jack the car up without busting the skirts. As for servicing, I have found someone that'll let me use...

    Maloo side skirts

thanks for all your replies ... I think Iv'e got it sorted. Cheers

    Maloo side skirts

Thanks for that ... I think it might be the answer.

    Maloo side skirts

Thanks for that. Wagons, unlike utes don't have chassis rails.

    Maloo side skirts

Nope, can't do .... as I said the skirts are lower than the jacking points and they also block them preventing the rubber pads of the hoist arms from getting underneath them without crushing the skirts .... I was hopping somebody who owns a maloo could point me in the right direction

    Maloo side skirts

It's not that it is that low (see pic) ... it's more that the jacking point is higher than the skirt and the skirt blocks access to it ...... what a pain. All I wanted to do was an oilo change .... guess i'm looking for access to a 4 posta now ... lol

    Maloo side skirts

The skirts on mine are almost over the jacking point so not enough for the hoist arms or even a trolley jack without crushing the skirt and they were such a bitch to put on I don't really want to have to do it again.

    Maloo side skirts

I've recently replaced the side skirts on my sv6 VF wagon with Maloo style ones from Mr. Bodykits and although they look great I have just taken my car for a service and we can't get them up on the 2 post hoist. The skirts hang too low (yes, they are installed correctly) and the jacking point...

    Corroded rims

Yeah, thought it might be something like that. I'll probably do as you said and just sell them as is.

    Corroded rims

About 6 months ago I took the standard 18" rims off my VF commodore and put some 20's on it. I put the old rims around the side of the house with the intention of selling them. I've owned the car since new and there was not a mark on them ...no curb rash, no gouging ... nothing. They were...

    Pedders Soft Set Coilovers

Just fitted these to my VF SV6 wagon with 20' rims. I found on the softer settings the car was a tad "bouncy". Dial ling 'em up seems to reduce this quite a lot. I did buy them because I wanted better handling and they certainly deliver on that front. I guess the comfort factor is the trade off...

Top Gear Cancelled After 46 Years

It was only a matter of time. I'm surprised it lasted for as long as it did after Clarkson and co got the chop. Those guys were entertaining and without them it was a completely different show.

    VF Wagon sway bars

Food for thought ... thanks for your input mate ... much appreciated. From all the info provided here I might have reconsider my approach to whether to stick with stock or not ... cheers

Gee mate .... thanks for your helpful input

    VF Wagon sway bars

The current set up is not really lacking, I'd just like to improve it. I have read that thicker sway bars are the single biggest difference to the handling. As far as fiddling with the pre-load settings, the guys at pedders strongly advised me not to tamper with them.

    VF Wagon sway bars

Just wanted some info or experience on aftermarket whiteline sway bars. Iv'e just put pedders adjustable coilovers on my SV6 VF wagon and whilst there is certainly an improvement in the handling I feel it could still be better. I'm thinking thicker sway bars might be the solution but I am keen...

    VF interior

I like the gloss look personally but matt or satin looks pretty good as well.

    VF interior

Yeah, it does look good. The gauge housing comes in 2 pieces so I was thinking of just doing the lower piece so that it looks like the gear shifter surround matches and it all looks like one piece.

    VF interior

Hmmm, you got me thinking now ..... that's quite a good idea mate ... cheers

VF wagon, would you buy one?

I have a 2014 sv6 wagon that Iv'e had since new. One of the best cars I have ever had. I say buy one, you won't regret it.
  26. R

    VF interior

Iv'e just installed some saas gauges and a gauge pod from Mr Bodykits and whilst it looks pretty good I think it would look better if it was covered/wrapped in the carbon fiber look that's on some of the interior trim (see pic) ... Iv'e looked everywhere for something that matches and although...

    Tuning in WA

Hi, wondering if anyone knows on any good tuning shops in WA. I'm planning on an OTR and some catbacks for my VF but all the descent tuning shops seem to be on the east coast & I'm not real keen on doing it remotely ... is anyone aware of a good shop in Perth ?
