    where is this place your are talking about. and CRS (castlemaine rod shop) is in castlemaine, victoria. anyway.. 200 cheaper is better.. your car being a series 2 is different to a series 1 pattern. do you know if they do series 1 auto to manual flywheels..

    yeah i was going to message that bloke on SC and ask him what the go was with adding mallory to the crank. i don't really understand how that works. does it mean the counter weights are not heavy enough for the pistons and rods???

    i had a look on SC and there was just so much stuff to filter though i gave up.. when i looked up non turbo buick pistons on US ebay they had a small pin size. it isn't a lot.. i measured a turbo rod and it is about 1 cm shorter than the stock one. so thats why i thought i might have to by turbo...

    i did the other way around. went from series 2 - series 1. and did a manual conversion at the same time. the only wires i think i changes was one at the front of the manifold and one at the back. shorten 1 wire and lengthen the other. i cant remember what they were. it was about 5 years ago now...

    teh cam had a heap of cam lube all over it and same with the lifters. i tried to fill each lifter with oil befor i put it in. lxhatch could be onto something. might give it a good few revs and see what happens.. the owner of the ute said he will buy a high volume pump anyways and chuck it on...

    but it still should not go down to 0 psi on idle, and the pressure shouldn't drop while holding it in the revs

    it isn't registered and it isn't my ute so i haven't really been reving it.. it will goto about43 or 45 psi. then it starts to go down.. i should take it for a drive one night when i know there isn't any cops about..

    how do ya tell what size motor it is.. engine number??? i have no idea at all. i wouldn't even know where to look for the engine number on one of them.

    before we bought the place there was a few hq/j/x/z's shells out there. but theyw ere removed before we took over. but i reckon he was a holden man from way back. so i don't know.. are s blocks worth much.. i know a 265 hemi S block is worth a little more.. but i have no idea about holden 6's
