So I have just got my wagon back after a rear ender, and shutting the tailgate now is so much lighter, apparently there was a revised tailgate latch.

As I got rear ended and need a new tailgate I was told from the repairer that there was a change to locking mechanism

ahh no, regardless of synthetic being used it will still burn, never had to touch my dipstick in my old 08 alloytec, but the sidi's are a heap of ****.

+1, it just looks like a ice cream lid cut & tacked on. If the front wheel arch was brought down and lined up with the front bar it would look a **** load better.
