    Air cond in VE SS-V

Had our's in for the 3,000 a few weeks ago and a repair to the air con drain pipe was done. I asked about it and was told a few of them were leaking into the car. Our's hadn't but I had noticed it wasn't allways working as well as it should have been. Since then has been working really well and...

    Any problems surfaced?

have not disowned him. If holden had an apprenticeship going then he would be there. He loves all holdens and will never change from that. He owns a vl - in the doing up stage. Half the guys at his work are holden nuts too. At least he'll allways have a job working there :D

    Any problems surfaced?

very true, apparently the citric acid on the ba/bf falcon utes has quite a different colour to it than what can be seen on the tray, the hard tonneau cover is a darker green than the body of the car and sometimes a slightly different tinge of green. My son works for a ford dealership and has...

    2004 SV6 - 'Check Powertrain' caution

Took her up to Freo today (about 150 km round trip) she's running really rich. used nearly half a tank normal would be about 1/4 . per 100km started at 14 for around town by the time we got home was on 12.2. that's really bad. bet they dont give a rats ass about the fuel I've wasted when they...

    2004 SV6 - 'Check Powertrain' caution

Got the same warning come on again Wed. morning. Took her back in again in the arvo. Ran a scan told it may be software or a wiring problem. Still safe to drive. Can't get her back in until Monday (partly due to my schedule with tafe) Then they have to do more tests. Good now I've got no car...

    2004 SV6 - 'Check Powertrain' caution

Mine's just come up with the same warning. Rang Holden and advised not to drive if possible. Have another option so that's ok for now. Has anyone else had their car in for this warning and if so what was the problem causing it?

    Gas On Alloytec 190

ah ok i guess im wrong on what i had put i was under the impression that the ls1 manifolds where also made from alluminium, i was also wrong about the manifolds on the ls1 melting at high temps but if there made from composite plastic there is a huge difference in tempreture withstanding points...

    Gas On Alloytec 190

thanks for that doctor bob, i didnt clarify what i was meaning when i was speaking about the intake manifolds i was refering to the alloytech motor and not the ls1, should have made it more clear in the start, Cheers Janet :)
  29. JanetSSV

    Gas On Alloytec 190

if the manifolds are made from plastic of any description it would melt from the high under bonnet temps so the manifold needs to be made from a metal to withstand the temps, there would be no need to change the manifold because the gas system can be fitted in before the throttle body, even on...

    ADVICE ASAP: Power Steering Leak

hi west55, thanks very much. just had a look at the suspect hose and it is about half way off heading to the power steering rack. also noticed that the bottom radiatior hose heading to the motor is half way off as well so that may be a big one for everyone else to check on too. Major cooling...

    ADVICE ASAP: Power Steering Leak

Hi guys, I've been reading thru this with interest. I'm a chick and not dumb but was wondering what covers I will need to remove to check the power steering pump for leaks. I know old Holden motors but not the new ones. Weve had a few commies (VN onwards) but i've never had to have to remove...

    Gas On Alloytec 190

the intake manifolds on the gen3 and the alloytecs are made from alluminum, or are u meaning the intake pipe? if you are then it is possible because the gas just flows through the intake pipe and into the engine.
