I'm in the market for a second hand vehicle and I have seen a 2006 VE for sale priced at $5,993.00 with 223502 k's on the clock. Is this a good deal? Has it done too many k's? When is too many k's for a 2006 VE? For people who own the 2006 VE, what do you roughly pay for insurance?

What size nut is on line B? I have tried a 17mm which seems to fit pretty well but the nut seems pretty well stripped and I want to make sure I am using the right size before stripping the nut any more.

I now have illumination on the instruments. It turned out the black and grey wires that were joined on the vp dimmer plug needed to be joined. I presume I would use the other wires from the dimmer plug to attach to the vs light switch to get the dimmer working? Thanks again for all your help...

Yep wired it up per 2nd diagram and I now have parkers as well as lights illumination on the cluster working. The AC and Rear Demister button now glow when the lights are on which is good, but for some reason the hazards don't. I rechecked the fuses and the bulbs in the cluster to see if that...

OK I have wired it up as per your diagram, but I see no changes. That may be because there is too much light to tell if the instrument are illuminating or not, so I will check again tonight.

Thanks for the idea, but that would drive me nuts. Besides I have no idea how to read a multimeter. Thought it would be easier for someone who had done it before to have a look at their wiring and tell me what goes where.

Thanks for that mate. I added the 2 brown with white wires from the vs hazard switch to the original brown with white on my vp loom and the hazards and blinkers are both working fine. It still looks like I have to earth the ground wires to get the interior and dash illumination working?

Anyone. This is the only car I have and I hate to drive it without indicators and hazards.

Also, after wiring up those three switches my instrument illumination no longer works as well as the door light. The gear select illumination doesn't work either.

The main thing I need help with on the dash conversion is the switches. I have been able to get the indicators working. All I need done now is connecting the Hazards, AC, Rear Demister and Lights.
