what did you do to your car today?

Decided that I’d change the plugs since they have been in it for twenty years, so I pulled them out. Now I have to get another set and leads - no use rushing and having them ready to go

what did you do to your car today?

Yesterday I doubled the amount of kilometres I had done in the last year by taking my Crewy for a run to get the exhaust pipes replaced where they go over the diff. The first hole showed up about five years ago and I had just been patching them to get through rego inspections. Not a bad run out...

what did you do to your car today?

Made and installed a wiring harness for my new driving lights, I must like having a new car as I did a pretty tidy job of it- not that I usually do a rough looking job just that I seemed to take extra care running the wires along the factory ones and even put it all in split tube. I know that I...

    The Random Thread

Hi all, due to being the tech dummy I am I once again need some help. Due to increasing NBN prices my wife swapped providers away from TPG to Dodo. I now have a Dodo supplied tp link vx220-g2v ( https://www.tp-link.com/au/service-provider/xdsl/vx220-g2v/ ) modem . The problem I have been having...

what did you do to your car today?

Picked it up a week after making down payment, someone else had ordered it but their finance fell through and I just happened to ring them at the right time. VZ alternator

Hi everyone, I have just put a new alternator in my neighbors VZ SS and it isn’t charging. I have tried a few things, when I supply positive through a test light to the orange (could be red) on the two pin plug it excites it and it works. What can I test/check to get it working correctly? I...

what did you do to your car today?

Replaced the ignition barrel in my Crewy, it decided to lock up on me after it only gave me one indication that it was dying . After playing with the key several times and finally getting the courage to say stuff it if I break the key off in it it will only be a little worse I put a heap of...

Lockdown Project - something a little different

Looks great- I was thinking of building one of these but the tech side of it seems too hard for my skills so I bought a raspberry pi set that already had a sd card set up with lots of games so I can build a stand up arcade, unfortunately the games I like on it ( all the 2d Mario’s and Donkey...

Got the posts off the trailer and standing by myself with a gantry and endless chain, the the hydraulic motor came with a plug on it so no need to wire. It‘s great working with a hoist, I’m lucky enough that it’s my third one. In my other shed I have a two poster and a four poster outside

How to get Internet in my shed?

Hi everyone- I have an update. After going to a few different places and getting confusing answers from different sales people I procrastinated(not having my shed built made it so I wasn’t in a rush anyway) and didn’t buy anything. My gorgeous wife bought me this...

    Need a new shed

from my experience having internal posts is a total p.i.t.a so I would go with a different design if you’re not totally wanting that roof pitch. As others have said 10m isn’t deep enough for two cars, also make sure you get your wall height high enough for a hoist now and add extra concrete in...

How to get Internet in my shed?

I’ll be dropping cat5 into the trench as I have multiple cables long enough. Bigfella- I have a standard type wifi modem but can’t easily get a cable from it to the shed. I was hoping that someone knows about some type of tech that picks up a WiFi signal and has a cat5(or higher) output

    Number plates

Hi everyone, Does anyone else here collect number plates? I have kept them over the years but only recently decided to actively seek them out to hang in my shed. These are some that I collected while in Europe this time last year( hopefully I’ve attached it properly). Cheers Shane
