Does anybody know how to have the speed limiter lifted or increased on these models? When you hit 200 kmh it drops down to 3rd gear.

I have a VR V6 and its idling at approx 2000rpm. it used to idle ok but has steadily been getting higher, any ideas as to what could be the problem?

Are you sure that you undid the correct bolts and not the 2 slider bolts, i just normally undo the calipers and use a carpenters g clamp and push the piston back into the caliper put the new pads in and bolt it back on, i normally do a front or rear set in about an hour maximum thats providing...

if your tailshaft is wrong ie you have a wagon and the conversion is from a sedan simply split the tailshaft in the middle and use the front of the tailshaft from the sedan and the rear section from the wagon and it is a perfect fit & length. :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t: :w00t:

ok this is the wiring that i did and how i did it for the speed sensor. I ran 2 core wire from the ignition for the power did a separate earth from around that area. the pruple/white wire, i removed that wire from the white plug from behind the glovebox ( make sure that this is on the speedo...

in the vs auto loom u will not find any speed sensor wires for the manual transmission you need to bypass and wire up as i said previously ( other side of ecu) and it should work ( i ran my 12 volt accessories from the ignition) as for the reverse lights you should be able to use that diagrahm...

yes it needs to bypass the ecu and be connected to the output side of the ECU to the speedo:yeah:

i would be changing you earth & 12+ again and checking the speedo purple/white connection. obviously there is a problem how you have wired it up and checking any connections that you have touched wiring it up, if you headlights worked ok before you wired up the speedo then the problem must be...

First of, it dont make it a 3 way intersection, i hate cutting wires so i just removed that wire from the plug ( purple/white) and connected straight onto the end of it, connect it to the dash side of it, if you are not getting a good power source it will not work, i ran a earth & power from...

shorting the wires means join them together, i just normally get a little piece of wire put connectors on each end and plug it in to the 2 wires that need to be shorted, what that does is it makes the ecu think that its in park ( neutral)and will then let the car start

the speed sensor on the gearbox is 3 wires but the harness on the car is only 2 wires ( auto has only 2 wires for speed sensor)

i know the vr auto loom has 2 wire plug under the car and a big round plug for the auto? does it have these
