Anyone found a cone shaped spacer or such in the bottom of their struts (vn)? Mine had teleflo inserts with these on the bottom. Clarification? Ive binned them as ive never seen them in any struts ive done before and also get all the thread of the retaining nut in the strut

If you just want a mild and very streetable setup and could get one cheap and didnt want to mess around with it alot to set it up then yes.

I had a 9.1 comp 355 with a starr manifold, 284 cam, blue top injectors. Made 220rwkw @ 6200rpm. Its not a bad mild cam with little comp and hacked bannanas. I wouldnt swap to a more aggressive cam without doing a manifold swap as mentioned already.

In my vn i didnt need to shorten the wires. Just had the factory relay/fuse panel under the glove box.

5 minutes? I dont think its a great spot imo. Taking the gaurd off on the side of the road would be a little red faced just to change a fuse/relay. Or if your in an accident theyl get crunched very easily. Im more in favour for under the dash/kick panel etc. Its great your doing it yourself...

Yes its free from the website but you will need the serial port adapter to usb port to load your timing map to the ignition.

Just have a look for a 9 pin serial female port on the right hand side...like this

Not all 6al-2's has to be the programmable type with the serial pin connector on the side.

Is this the programmable 6al2? Daily driven car? If not, then lock the distributor timing out (asuming its the MSD Pro billet) then suss your ideal total timing in the dyno.

I welded up the holes etc and prepped most of the engine bay for paint gave up 3/4 way through as it was taking for ever with the little spare time i have. $500 to paint.

You want to try and keep the coil wire as short as possible. Il have mine under the windscreen wiper cowl with an msd fire wall feed through. Have also mounted them on the inside of the a/c bracket on the lhs strut tower.

The fuel tank should be vented via the emission canister (charcoal canister) in the engine bay. Theres usually a negative vacum in the canister being drawn from the throttle body. I would suss that out for any kinked hoses etc. This is a vn v6 yea?

What he said and Get the MSD 6AL-2 programmable ignition and the pro-billet distributor. That will have to be the most flexible ignition available atm. You can program the timing yourself on ya lappy. Itl make you a happy chappy.

They do make a sp manifold thats also not as good as others lol
