Some pics from the weekend I thought I'd share. Weather was good so we organised our own mini car show - a combination of my two gold nuggets (Monaro and Light My Fire SS sedan), brothers cars and a friends Maloo. We might be biased, but we reckon its a pretty good looking line-up!

Big boned haha :) Driving the Monaro after the VF, you feel like you are driving a little hot hatch or something. Noticeably quicker to wash too!

Just picked up my new Light My Fire Redline this week - which was about a month earlier than expected! Looks fantastic, pictures really do not do it justice. Crystal serum paint protection has been applied, with tinting to come in about a week.

On the other hand, LMF reminds me of fusion which was the hero colour for the CV8Z Monaros. Call me biased (as I have a CV8Z in this colour), but it still looks mint to this day (to me at least). So much so that a matching LMF Redline is a very tempting proposition!

I was really tempted to upgrade to a Light my fire MY17 SSVR, but with the 'new' specs and pricing, I think I am going to be more than happy with my 2016 Some like it hot SSVR. Still a great unique colour with a hint of orange - which I love.

Have the same problem with my redline. The dealer 'couldn't' actually find the problem though, so nothing was replaced unfortunately.

Some like it hot red - but I think Light My Fire orange next year might just be my new pick!

My VF II Redline is the same, chips way too easy unfortunately, and that is with Ceramic Body Amour applied as well. I have to say though, my previous VE II was just as bad, I think Holden have been going cheap on the paint for a while...

Had a chat with my dealer about them and they had no idea about the centre caps (and it seems about most things in general, to the point where they asked what model the Redline was based on!).

Those red centre caps look awesome. An ideas whether they may be able to be ordered through Holden?

Coming up to 500kms on my redline, and in mostly flowing city traffic (averaging mid 30km/h), my first tank was 18.1l/100, and current tank is around 16.5l/100 (enjoying the occasional squirt here and there!)

I find myself asking a similar question... I love the wilfire colour - which means a series 1 (and a few thousand dollars cheaper), or alternatively if I was to go a series 2, it would be the poison ivy colour. Series 1 is more in the price range and preferred colour, but the updates to series 2...

No, it does not try to start or anything. It doesnt make any sound at all. You turn the key, and then nothing... But when the car is warm, it starts first time every time no worries.
