yeh thats right.. dot 4 is a better product that dot 3.. soo it doesnt hurt at all.. the reason it is green, well that is a good indication ur fluid is F*** and u need to flush the whole system.. if you do u MUST bleed the brakes, easy procedure takes 5 minutes... but bak to the topic all brake...
if the fluid is fine then the problem is the rings that surround the clutch plates inside the trans.. this can be very easy or very hard.. for your sake there is an adjustment you can do on the bands to tighten them soo if this works your trans will run for a year plus like this with out costin...
When i do up a car the stereo is the first thing to go.. extra weight equals slower lap times also the extra drain you put on an alternator the more load on the engine.. still if a car is for show.. then thats a complete different story
u mentioned that you should fill oil filters up.. FALSE.. because the way the filter works the oil you put in the filter doesnt actually pass through the filters filtration mesh which means ur having semi unfiltered oil going through ur system which means bad, worst case scenario blown valve..
dude, from the sounds of it its just a rear main seal.. forget the principle for a sec and just change it... it will take u saturday morning with u and a mate or 2 and then u dont even have to deal with the tossers at the car shop
