    Extreme carbon tripple plate clutch rated at 1400hp havent had a problem with my pissy 600ish at the fly, almost drives like stock! Both thumbs up from me.

    Spot on Macca but I would be going with a 3800 stall in that combo, you could even go 110lsa with the bigger stall would sound nuts.

    My advice for a stock motor would be keep the 241 head as it has smaller ports and will keep the air speed at lower rpm and make better torque.

    Best leads by far are the stock red vy leads $160 at motor traders I just took off a set of top gun leads and replaced with stockers.

    The inside's of the block are different and it has extra webbing etc and thicker casting and made from iron but the outside dementions of the block will be same as stock. Exhaust headers would come down to what heads you use. Wouldnt go to all the expense of lsx block to keep stock internals...

    Im not sure on the combustion chamber size on the 243 heads and what it would do to comp ratio (raise or lower it) maybe someone in the know can help us out here? I know the 243 flow a little better. Even on my stroker I stuck with the 241 and got them stage 2 cnc ported and they worked out...

    Is the ls6 intake brad fitted for you a ported one? As thats when you start to see a gain with a larger t-body 80mm would be plenty as thats the biggest you can make the opening in the ls6 intake.

    ^^ a cam with 242 duration on the exhaust and .631" lift will need fly cut pistons! Also you will be wasting your time porting the stock t-body 76mm is no where near the 102mm opening of that intake manifold, just buy the correct t-body from the states at the same time you buy the manifold...

    Im not saying a four foot lead dosent work but a 6-8 inch lead has to work better with its less resistance. Its been proven that the stock oem leads are the best for the ls1.

    Those rocker cover look a bit of alright and havent seen to many of that type fitted just yet here in australia. Sure you can keep the standard lenght H-T leads?

    As for coils I think the gm loom is the best set-up with the coil loom part of the injectors loom, start moving it around and I think it just looks messy. As for those covers that cover the coils What a dog breakfast they are!

    Bend the bracket in the right spots (Two bends) cut the bracket at the right spot then weld back together and paint drill two holes and fit. the standard p/steer lines will fill also.

    The pump hasnt moved, I re-worked the stock braket that holds the p/steer resi and made it fit the inner guard. I think the engine looks cleaner that way. I didnt move the colis as I think a short H-T lead works better then a long one.

I had a miss and the motor was running crappy so in my hunt to find the problem I changed the MSD coils back for the stockers and fitted new leads and new plugs but the miss was still there, took the rocker covers off and number 1 intake rocker stud nut had come completely undone...

    ^^ I ended up changing intake set-ups and Im now running it on E85 It just made 350rwkws and has tons of torque very nice to drive now. Fitted all the parts myself at home then got the boys at Willall to tune it.

    ^^ I had it on for a few months and then changed to LSXr102 set-up but they both work very well, Getting 350rwkws on E85 with stage 2 cnc 241 heads.

    No the l98 head will be no good on the 3.9" bore of the ls1 you need at least a 4" bore to use the l98. Just get your 241 heads cnc ported and a set of stainless valves put in and double springs then port an ls6 intake if you cant afford something better.

    Opening up the standard cats like you have explained is fine 2.5" in and out has supported over 300rwkws with no problems as ive seen on other peoples cars.

    Thats because HP = torque X rpm so even if the torque starts to drop off slightly but the rpms continue to climb the HP will continue to climb also. Only if the torque drops off at a large rate as the rpms climbs then the HP will feather off. Make sence now? The torque curve will never be...

    A 232/234 comp cam at 112 lsa would suit your needs well or go a bit bigger with 237/241 etc would need 4200 stally to get the most out of it.
