wiring in a bcm will be a massive headache you dont want. Go for aftermarket central locking much simpler. the oil pressure i am not surre of but i know its not just for the light because if you hook a tech 2 up it can tell you the oil pressure but you can simply run a t peice and use the...
just done this VT series 2 calais ls1 into series one v6 berlina using berlina's BCM. the three plugs are the same but there is a couple of different wires once is for the P.I.M and once for PCM on the engine side its a yellow wire (1049) on plug 110 and a white and black (451) on plug 111. they...
where the red line is in the pic i ran a cutting disc on a 7 inch angle grinder through here then knocked the gap closed with a hammer then welded it back up this gave me 10mm+ clearance from the gearbox pan. you just see on the far right of the pic the trans cross member. as you can see the...
thanks for that info it seems that holden cant decide how they wanted the fans wired. i have the holden manual on cd and its very comprehensive i have vt through vx series 2 my2003 including vu wh and monaros v6, v6 supercharged and all v8's but thereis slight differences between all of them.
we...
if you fllow the wire through from the battery you will see there is 2 ye118 connections shown but they are infact 1 connector which has the 4 wires i mentioned in previous post
this is the diagram i am going off which is for the 2002 series 2 v6 and where im referring to wiring colors is at connection ye118 which is the connection under the power steering reservoir that connects to the fans.
This connection has 4 wires in the diagram it has Orange with yellow, blue...
I have just done a l67 conversion on my vx acclaim and pretty much finished the job and have been up and down the street a few time no problems but when i went for a longer drive i got tothe end of my street and the front uni/donut is hitting on the underside of the shifter. i dont know why it...
i brought those washer/coolant bottles for my old wagon darren done exactly the same thing probably still is too...
Biggest problem vh owners face is tail lights try and find a good set of them these days only model commodore no one makes aftermarket lights for so keep putting in the part...
Actually you cant use the vs rack its to wide instead you should grab a vn rack which will work with the vs k frame and vl intermediate shaft as vp and onwards have larger splines on the rack. other than what darren said you can use pretty much all the vs gear apart from the diff as again its...
I know another l67 running 12.77 as far as i am aware it has rockers, ported throttle body and elbow, 11.5 psi pulley, dual 2.25" exhaust, mace CAI and tune.
Quickest way to make an l67 faster is lose body weight.
Not exactly true either bud, if OP use's higher efficiency speakers he doesn't need as much wattage to get the same result but the vx speakers are not that bad to begin with so throwing in some cheapo speakers is not going to improve the sound anyway.
my old lh and 3 lx's never had any so not sure what you mean bythat but the vh looks nice good luck with the chev they are the worst fitting engine in an early commo i hated mine.
you will find they scrub on the inside wheel well whilst going in driveways etc depending on how steep the step to how bad, the wagons seem to have shallower wheel tubs to the sedans.
I used to have 17x8 hsv clubby wheels with 235/45r17 never scrubbed at all on out side but did as above inside...
I honestly dont know why your finding it so hard i really think your over complicating the whole thing.
With my th700 behind the 350 chev in the vb i used a v6 kickdown cable (its shorter then the v8 cable) with the holley bracket Holley Performance Products GM AOD Kickdown Cable Bracket#20-95...
If your doors need slaming then adjust the latches so you dont have to, i know some new door seals make it harder but you shouldnt have to slam them.
With more dings then just the ones you talking about it might be worth look at getting them all done and a respray but if the car is pretty mint...
Mint standard block such a waste going 60 over when they are getting harder to find with standard bore but its your block i would how ever get it drilled over having and adaptor plate.
You cant handle someones opinion when its not to your liking then don't ask for it in the first place. I wasn't saying your car is **** i said "big wheels look ****" i despise big wheels on early cars. Take a look at the trend of tubbing the rear to fit these stupidly large wheels under the...
yeah my old man brought it he has the vh in my avatar now as i couldn't do anything with it due to health and financial reasons so he has taken over the build :(
What did pete sting ya for the heads if you dont mind me askin or pm me the price as i am think of doing my stato up once my health...
The change of booster is something i did on my old wagon as i was intending on upgrading to the vt brakes later down the track and with minor modification the vt master cylinder works with the vs booster saving you the expense of changing to the vt one.
You can use the calipers but you will need vn v8 or vq discs as the vs wont go on they use a hub assembly like the vt. this will increase front rotor size to 290mm thus improving braking a bit. you can also use the vs booster and master cylinder but the vs uses the newer flare on the lines so...
I got rid of this a while ago now but not before it go a 350 chev with th700 put in it. current owner has had it repainted and it looks heaps better now but i heard its up for sale again.
Engine just before i got rid of it
