There are braces either side of the car running from the chassis rail to the fire wall . Try tightening them up, thats what i did , and no more noises from the front end.:thumbsup:

A LSD in a Exec would of been ordered with one from new, or a previous owner has fittted it themselves. Is your VT an ex cop car if it is it will have the 9c1 pack which includes the LSD. Check the tag on the diff it will have LSD stamped on it , or spin resistant stamped on it, or jack the back...

Are all your connections clean & tight ?

Disconnect the battery & have a cold bourbon, then reconnect the battery.

you may have a faulty sender unit, your oil pressure will always drop at idle, you only have to worry when you lose all oil pressure.

i would'nt use high pressure to clean the engine, just use degreaser & normal hose pressure & just for insurance cover the coil packs & alternater with plastic to keep the moisture out. You don't need traction control, i always turn mine off when i start the car it's just out of habbit now...

you could try a thicker motor oil when you change your oil next. eg a 10/60 viscocity range.

Its a easy job, you could do it yourself and save yourself some $$$.

It all depends how much boost you want to run in your engine, but i would rebuild the bottom end just for insurance anyway.Have you priced a supercharged crate engine it might work out better for you going that way. Cheers.

Spray then wipe WD-40 on the plastic you want to clean, it does a great job.:thumbsup:

Hi all. Another little trick to use when debadging is heating the badge up with a hair dryer it makes the adhesive very soft & you can just about peel the badge off. cheers.:thumbsup:

There is a symbol that lights up in the cluster for cars fitted with fog lights from factory.You might have to see if there is a bulb behind the fog light symbol in your cluster & did you use the factory light switch when you fitted the fog lights, this may also have something to do with it. In...

I fitted the 4 way camber kit to a FE2 vx & it has no problem with high speed stability, i would recommend the 4 point kit as you can get better adjustment out of them. Cheers.:thumbsup:

Have you tried using another ECU ?

This is a stab in the dark, maybe something to do with the cars immobliser ?

G day fellas, i had that clunking sound in the vx, and the cause was the 2 braces that are attached the chassis rail & firewall , i just put a 13mm spanner to them to tighten & no more noise.So give that a go it might be your problem as well. Cheers.:thumbsup:

I found & fixed this problem today, the 2 braces coming off the chassis rail to the firewall needed tightening up. No more noises now, and it did'nt cost a cent, so a good outcome for a change.:w00t:

:bow:Hi all, my mrs has a FE2 equipped vx & the left hand side clunks when you turn the steering wheel left & right, you can also feel the clunk through the floor of the car, but there is no noise when you hit bumps in the road whilst driving along.Can anyone shed some light on this problem. No i took the car to my brother inlaws work shop & used his hoist with 2 of us doing this job.Please don't try doing this job in the driveway at home,it is a bugger of a job,best to put it in to get it done if you don't have a hoist & a couple of mates.Cheers.:bang:

I just fitted the 4 point adjustable pedders bushes to the mrs VX, it's best to do the 4 point kit as you can get more adjustment & get the rear wheels nearly spot on when you do the alignment. Cheers.:thumbsup:

It does'nt matter if the problems you mention are a common problem with the VY model, i would just make the car yard fix the problems before you take delivery, in any case it should'nt pass a RWC with a oil leak. Cheers.;)

I think you will need to change the head lights & tail lights as these differ from the berlina as well.
