how can the horsepower be the same with the torque reading being different? a car with lower ratio diff gears is gunna give a higher hp reading off the dyno than the same car with standard diff ratios. if i understand the way a dyno works properly. in theory, if the fact he put in 3.08 diff...

in that case, twin turbo 383 stroker will give you a big bang for alot of buck. ive got 3.73 diff gears in my calais, i think theyre a good all rounder ratio. doesnt use much more fuel (i average about 15L/100k city and highway driving).

thanks for the replies guys, turns out its more than likely a bad fuel pump. only has about 10 psi of pressure at on(priming), idle and under acceleration.

heres the dilemma, the car (series 1 vn v6) will start and run perfect, it will rev fine, till it starts to warm up. then it goes downhill, cant rev it without it coughing and spluttering, cant put it in any gear without it stalling, etc. fuel pump primes fine, and the car starts every time...

you cant take the water pump off without taking the metal plate off, i thought. unless some water pumps are different. i use a very light smear of some gasket sealer aswell on mine. very light smear..
