I did the blow test and I couldn't feel a leak myself. I have thought about just changing it anyway, but gotta wait till I get paid again :( Have spent so much on this car haha.

I haven't bought many exhausts in my time, but when I do I never buy one unless it has a demo audio/video (preferably Video so you can tell it's legit) In saying that, I don't see a reason why it would be so quiet? Do you possibly have a video of it as well so we can hear how loud/quiet it is...

Holy crap including labour? I'm looking at over $5k for a LLT with Labour! I had read though that if it had a LLT, you can't put a different type of engine in it without changing more than you should have to etc?

Doing more research around, could it be the oil pump? or pick up? as I've been told it has a lot of sludge and the noise is surely coming from the top end of the engine. Are the oil pumps easy enough to do yourself? (I'm generally pretty happy to try anything as long as it doesn't require belt...

It did also give a bit of a pressure "pop" when I unplugged it too :)

Oh and unless I grabbed the wrong thing, the EVAP was on the drivers side in my S2 SV6

Okay, so I pulled it off, no worries at all and did the "blow test" and no air coming through at all, at least didn't seem like it. So must be up for a new engine :( Unless anyone has anything else I can try before that?

Doesn't sound too bad. The Holden here said they are doing some searching for me currently to try give me a few options depending on what's around. I'm hoping to pick something up around the 60,000-70,000km mark

So I've been reading a few things here and there about ticking coming from my S2 SV6 and before I do what Holden want, and replace the engine, I figure there's no harm in trying a few things. So I want to try replace the EVAP Purge Solenoid, found this part on ebay; Genuine Holden VE Commodore...

This is the same thing Holden have told me with my S2 SV6. It's got 118k's but has sludge etc. They have adjusted the timing and cam timing etc, and have told me I need new lifters and camshaft actuators, but would be better to replace the engine. I was looking at maybe this solenoid valve fix...

Hey guys, So just an update, got my car back from Holden today and they said they found an issue with the timing from the timing chain just put in and cam timing or something. Reads like this; cam position performance fault (cam timing) found timing out on rhs bank strip - rquires to be checked...

Oh I have, but he literally couldn't give a crap. And yeah I made a couple mistakes haha. But it all seemed okay and above board at the time of purchase... So frustrating that I'm stuck with it now though! So just trying to fix it at this point haha.
