Hi Pablo, I really appreciate your help with this but I just had a look and I couldn't find a pipe coming out of the throttle body, infact I can't find the throttle body!! :whistling Let's just say I don't look under the bonnet that often! I did look in the manual but I couldn't find it...

The top cover of the engine you mean? What should I remove so I can check that pipe? Thanks

Ok, no prob. Is this a common problem? Would it get worse if I didn't clean it? Ever since I bought it back in Feb 06 I thought it idled a bit rougher than a VY I drive for work.

No, I'm not that mechanically minded. After looking at that drawing it's probably not a very good idea for me to do it! Is there anything else that could be causing it? I just want a plan B if that's not the problem. Thanks mate! :)

Yes it's after driving around. It happened today while I was stopped at the traffic lights. It just violently did something for no reason and it doesn't happen often. It accelerated fine when the lights changed.
