mine was just sticky gunk on the pins the needle rests on when gauges turned off. cleaned of gunk and they don't get stuck anymore.

thread dig. but mine does this whistle too at about 1500-2000rpm when coasting. bit more or a bit less throttle and it goes away. only when AC engaged.

Worked perfectly on the old practice core I had. Tested it with mains pressure and with air pressure and detergent on the joins and no leaks what so ever. Mains water and compressed air is probably 4 times more than a car cooling system

What cam would work best with a decent 4 barrel manifold and 1000cfm throttle body on an otherwise stock motor with full twin system twin cats. 3.9's and a 2500ish stall

Yea I will get a trutrac center and 3.9 gears to suit the bigger type diff. So just have to figure out if I need a vx-vz housing or use a vp vq one. I know ill also have to get the spigot ground off the pinion to suit flange type tailshaft

Are the housings the same from vq/vp to vx/vy/vz. Cause I got a some spare housings and I want to fit an eaton truetrac and 3.9 gears in it . And I want new gears so will have to use the later type gears and centre in older housing

Never mind. I got it figured. I accidently swapped a 5 pin and a 4 pin relay over. Swapped it back and all good. But its strange how the warning lamps relay affects the climate control

randomly my climate control and the engine fan on the condenser wont work anymore, i got power to my thermo fans from the engine fan relay so now my thermos dont work either, no power to relay anymore, and also my speedo stopped working too, so how are these all linked?? and what could the cause be.

I still got this beast, i crashed it and had to get a new radiator support and bits and panels replaced.. and over the years its had a few diffs through it and a full rebuilt stage 2 trans, its on it 3rd mini spooled diff haha, poor thing used to spend most its life on the spot smoking tyres...

just wondering if a VY/VZ rear end with the toe adjustment and the M80 IRS diff will bolt into a VP calais, giving it that slightly wider track and the toe adjustment rods too. and ratios for M80 are easier to get hold of. so i wouldn't mind converting my VP to a later model rear.

just wondering if my vy will benefit from 1.98 rockers with a stock exhaust still, and it's a october 2002 Vy so will i have issues with the push rods, seeing as it is an early VY ecotec,

i have a very early VY, october 02 it was built, so would mine have the casting issues or be ok cause it pretty close to the VX.

i got some good advice on the street commos forum, apparently a stock SS system will be nice and quiet and flow easily well enough
