they will only fit up to 6" without mods (talking about the speaker holder here not the pod) so it might be easier to just go for 6" speakers. a better option would be to make some mdf spacers.

you will need all the emissions gear off a black motor with efi for it to be 100% legal. dunno where you are but i asked the rta about this and they don't care as long as its emissions compliant.

see if you can grab one of the holden option dual exhausts. i got one for about $100, made it sound a bit better and there was a noticable power increase. only problem is you move you peak torque up 1200rpm and that is especially noticable if you have a 2.78 diff. if you were to get extractors...

will it suit it though? you'll have smooth vt seats and maybe doortrims but then you'll have that fantastic 80s dash :D should be a bit more comfortable though.

nicely done. one of my mates had this done to his vn and you don't realise how good it is till its done. i will certainly be doing it to my vh eventually then i just have to find a way to smooth the bonnet corners to make them head-friendly.

^^^as above check the fluid. a mates car was doing something similar and it had leaked out overtime and steadily got worse.

if its anything like the later ones you might be able to run a bandpass box under (?) the back and have the port lead into the cabin. the amp and speakers would go in like a sedan, the amp might be ablke to go under the seat if its small enough or you could mount it behind the seats or even in...

or you could drill a small hole through the firewall and run the cable through a grommet. i'm not sure on the legalites of this though :D

if you have taken the dash apart it should only be held in by the plug and maybe a few screws.
