    My new 2011 camaro

I won't be coming back ... (not f in the forseeable future at least)... but I will never sell this car .... so if I did it would be coming back with me. No issues, but it would need a conversion (unless I come back when I'm 74!)

Just fitted a "Cold Air Inductions" CAI to my 2011 2SS RS Camaro

Just finished fitting a "Cold Air Inductions" CAI with ADM scoop to my 2011 2SS RS 6m Camaro ... very happy with the results. There are some great dyno tests on camaro forums here in the US that were conducted by Jannetty Racing ... the Cold Air Inductions provides the best combination of...

    My new 2011 camaro

Yep ... but that still doesn't explain why a VE SSV sells for over $50k in Australia and as a G8 in the USA for low $30k's. Australians get ripped off blind by taxes and in the case of the VE, the $1 billion amortization to develop it. You can bet your bottom dollar that the US's price was...

    My new 2011 camaro

$44k on road wth all the options I've listed ... amazing huh! In standard set up it's 426hp (flywheel, not rehp) however I have contacts through work with Dustin Whipple ... he's just given me an awesome price on a SC and mods that'll give me 560rwhp!!

    My new 2011 camaro

Thanks guys ... It is very different to drive than the VE ... Slower for one thing (missing that 310rwkw ... but I'm going to drop a whipple on it and make it whine and sing. But it feels just like sitting in an HK monaro or first gen camaro. You sit really low ... Side windows are nearly at...

    L98 Head change

L98 heads are fine ... very small power gain for outlay getting them done. OTR, mafless tune, valve springs, push rods, decent cam and full exhaust will get you around the 300rwkw mark. Clutch is the weakest link ... better to spend the money going for a Xtreme organic kit ... then a...

Fix for sticking VE SS clutch

well the stocky VE clutch finally gave up the fight. Was hardly engaging even pressed to the floor. Luckily Holden have at last found the fix for the sticking pedal which includes a new pedal box assembly. The dealer did that for me under warranty, however the hot spots on the flywheel and...

Need more HP for my car ?

supercharger would be the way to go ... but perhaps it's me, however I cringe at the thought of spending money on a 6 when it will always be slower than an 8 ... particularly if you do a cam or forced induction on that! Each to their own though. Actually it just reminded me of a 67 or 68...

Fix for sticking VE SS clutch

Are you serious????? You obvious drive a stocky then????? Or maybe an oldie. What good is a F****** warranty if holden can't fix the problem after years of trying anyway!!! Besides .... read the spec on my car ... I think the cam, push rods, valve springs, extractors, cat back...

Fix for sticking VE SS clutch

It's been months since I did it and still working fine!

    Cai ve ss

What do you want to achieve? Air hammer will give you small power increases at relatively low cost ... but there is still an argument that the pod-style can actually take power away. I had a pod style ... and wouldn't do it again. All it did was give me good induction noise. I'm running...

    Ve commodore clutch

but be careful if it's an every-day driver ... many performance clutches give you great launches with no slip ... but the constant shudder on take-off can drive you mad in traffic. The LS7 seems to handle to HP and avoid the shudder.

    Ve commodore clutch

They're crap ... stick to the floor if you give them a hard time. Bad design of the pedal and the slave cylinder is too small compared to VX. Problem is compounded by the traction control with high output cars like mine. There are lots of threads on the topic on other forums ... I have posted...

Beef up my ve ss exhaust sound

If you just want to improve the sound, then I'd replace your rear mufflers with some Varex like I'm running. You have the ability to have it loud when you want, or quiet when you want. Check out my youtube posts ... but keep in mind I'm running 4 into 1 extractors, high flow cats, 3" cat...

    Cam or Supercharge???

well he did say he was looking at the $6k kit ... which would suggest that his budget was around that amount. Anyway ... a cam will add close to $2.5-3k once the valve springs, push rods, timing gear are included and it's all installed.

HSV E2 led lights on SSV???

:rofl2::rofl2::rofl2: agree ... with some under body neons and mandatory "DOOF DOOF DOOF" coming from the boot. They look good on an Audi A5. Full stop. I photoshopped this for a different forum ... ever wonder how easy it would be to create an "E2 TRD Aurion" Bit too similar for their...

HSV E2 led lights on SSV???

They don't look good on the E2 in my opinion .... why would they look good on an SSV? It's pure "bling" - trying to be an Audio of Mercedes wanna-be.

    Cam or Supercharge???

I'm getting 17-18 city + bit of freeway driving, 11-12 country.
  28. simon.w

    Cam or Supercharge???

yep ... but the figures are always from "optimistic" dynos. I've not heard of anyone getting over 300rwkw on a mainline with just a 5psi bolt-on without tune, full exhaust etc. Even if it is 300rwkw it's not going to be 395kw at the flywheel.

    Mafless Tune for MY2010 6.0l - Issues

the tuner removes the MAF sensor(mass air flow sensor) and retunes the car accordingly. The MAF is the large black cylinder approx 4" round that is fitted in line in the air intake next to the airbox. It measures flow and temp. Some Cold Air Intakes still use the MAF ... which is fine for...

    Cam or Supercharge???

I didn't think there was that amount of difference between the LS3 and L98 once you started playing with induction and cams??

    Cam or Supercharge???

A car with a hot cam needs to be driven ... that is; you need more revs when taking off and you need to keep the revs in a certain range so that it doesn't "chug". It's all part of the appeal to me ... it makes them sound and drive like a real muscle car. They're showing a dyno sheet with...

    Cam or Supercharge???

I went cam ... very happy that i did. Goes hard, sounds as tough as nails. I think a lot of these so called 350rwkw supercharged results are somewhat over-enthusiastic. Just look at the VEs that are pulling 11's on youtube ... they're all cammed ... running either the GM Motorsports...

    Mafless Tune for MY2010 6.0l - Issues

I bought my Russo OTR from a guy who couldn't get his 09 SSV ute to run without the MAF. That being said ... I'm sure a good tuner could overcome this issue. Where are you from?

    hsv tail lights and fillers

Yep ... you should have bought an SSV! Oh I'm kidding hunter! If this guys just wants to fit the rear end of an HSV that's one thing ... same as you fitting headlights and tailights ... if you like the look of them more than what you have, that's fine. But what irks me (and yes, I know...

    Lowring Springs

I have pedders on mine ... happy with the result. Mind you I paid $100 for all 4 on ebay and $240 for fitting and wheel allignment ... so it was an amazing bargain.

    VE SS-V beeping at start-up

Is that a once-off fix .. or something you have to do every time? I'm guessing the latter ... but man I'm hoping the first!!!! HATE that bell hate it, hate it. Have read forum suggesting shorting the wires that run into the latch along side the drivers seat ... but no one can confirm if...

naaa.... you're right ... I just don't like passing things off as something they're not ... personal choice tho. Back bumpers are different too ... to accomodate lower position of lights.
