    Problem 4 VN SS

    It's a quick check of the brushes, just 2 screws and lift out. Mine had a charging light flickering and i found the one of the brushes was wearing on an angle and jammed in place and eventuly stopped fulling contacting the slip ring causing it to not fully charge.

    If the tacho is fickering when it's idling your rotor button and dizzy cap are worn and need replacing, when really bad engine runs out of puff and farts and stuff under any load. cheap fix but pain filled experence (little room).

    Try getting some right angle RCA adptors from Jaycar, they'll give you maybe another 5-10mm depth and help prevent your RCA cables getting broken.

    Custom Sub Window

    I installed 4 Phenix Gold 10 inch subs behind my back seat in my VN, it took some creative thinking and wiring but was able to fit them in and also have room in the boot for 2 full size suit cases and some small bags and the full size spare tire as well.     Major Temperature Problem

    I had roughly the same problem in my VN V8 it turned out to be a doddy bunch of thermostats(about 5 in a row). The temp would go up to half way or more and then the thermostat would crack open that then go to normal. Tip - don't leave it to long as excess pressure will blow inlet gaskets.
