Hi, I don't get message saying cruise on ... so I guess its mostly likely to be the stalk.

my wifes sv6 does the same thing, originally it would switch on if I pressed the on/off switch a few times, not it does not come on at all now. I never had a problem with activating the cruise once it turned on. I assume its the on/off switch is faulty but I have not bothered to really chase it...

My car came with dual zone but I have only ever used it in single zone mode, dont really see the point of it.

This is what a fully holden dealer serviced SV6 pcv valve looks like ... you would think they would take it out and clean it every so often. And it did start spitting a p0430 code recently

Series 2 setup is quite ancient these days ... after market setup probably a better choice

What problems do you have, mine is also 2011 and every so often I get a back screen on reverse camera ... but 90% of the time it works fine

I have a manual SSV, my first manual since my very first car .... love it, would not swap for a Auto again ...ever.

That unit looks good but moving the headunit down low is not really ideal imo...

Yep I would be one of those that got into trouble trying to put the balancer back on using the crank bolt ... its not a hard job if you use the correct tools.

I don't know ... to me there seems to be oil smeared all along it ... no distinct line that I can see.

I never thought I would be reading a thread about oil dipsticks ..... but the standard twisted dipstick is absolutely impossible to read ... at least for me ... cannot tell where the actual level is. Might have to chase up one of the cable type ones.

And to conclude this story ... my mechanic managed to get the bolt out and as it had not really gone very far in when it got stuck it did not mangle too many threads, so he fixed the threads in the crank and all back together again.

ah in the olden days this would not even make the news.... not that I would ever do such a thing on a freeway ... unless I was in Germany or NT

Hi, No loctite was used, I am petty sure the threads in the crank/bolt will be stuffed otherwise why would the bolt sill be stuck when it's not even touching the balancer now. My car is a manual so I put it in sixth gear to stop the engine spinning.

Update, not fixed yet but threads on crank will def be stuffed. I had been trying to loosen the bolt by cranking the engine but engine would crank then stop and bolt was still tight, so I assumed it was not working. Then I had a thought maybe I forgot to put the washer back on the bolt after I...

That's my problem, have not been able to get the bolt out, will have another crack at it in the morning. Thanks

Hi, I did not use install tool, was not aware of such tool, what I did was take the washer off the bolt, used the bolt to pull the balancer in a bit, then put the washer back on and tightened it. Thanks

Hi, I did not use thread locker. Its a manual so I put it in gear to stop the engine spinning, I will get a large pole and use with my breaker bar and see how that goes. Thanks

Hi, I am trying to get the harmonic balancer bolt of my L77 SSV, no luck with the breaker bar. I tried turning the engine with the breaker bar on, like I have done with other cars but that did not work also. Is there something in the electronics of the L77 that stops the cranking if it detects...

new to me 2011 SSV

I have 2011 SSV with factory nav and its just barely useable at best. Takes forever to load once car is started. Nav on my iPhone is much better and easier to use

I got those codes when I had a stuffed valve in one of the cylinders. Have you tried doing a compression test on it ?

Are you sure its the fan cutting out ? Sounds like it is switching to windscreen demist under load, which is the default setting when it loses vacuum in the vent control system. :-) did not notice this was from 2017

Ask them for proof of tampering, they are just trying to brush you off, if no joy try consumer affairs.
