A 2003 VY SS and a 2004 VZ SS have the same engine. It wasn't until the early 2006 VZ SS that the 6.0L came out. As stated above by a couple of others, I'd keep an eye out for a VZ SS at that price.

There's no rocket science to driving a stalled auto. Just drive it like you used to, except jumping on the go pedal will flash the converter. So depending on stall speed, it can have a 'slingtshot' effect.

Nope. LS2 is an HSV engine. The L76 and L98 (6.0L) were both used in the last of the VZs.

You'd only have LS2 VZ if you actually had an LS2 under the bonnet. Go with something original IMO, not what you car is (*something* VZ). It's a tad ghey (unless it's a big build). Just my 2c.

SSVs on my VZ

VTs with SSVs look great IMO (slightly lowered). VY sigs look horrible and every second rusted out bogan Commodore has them.

My hwy/fwy economy is no different to when my car was just cammed. Mild traffic it's the same too (avg 30-40km/h). I don't see city traffic to compare stop/start consumption though.

SL are about 15-20mm lower than FE2.
