Blown 15 amp # 34 fuse on 2000 Vt commodore

Is it the fuel pump fuse? Do you have any fuel in your tank. This has happened to me. If it is the fuel pump fuse it can be an easy fix. Put fuel in and your away. No fuel (or little) and the fuel pump can run real hot. Fuse kicks in before it goes awall.

[NSW] Blown Fuse - Easy Fix(?) - Air Cond

Update I took the relays out and put my multimeter on the connections 1,2, 3&5 (85, 86, 30, 87). They all show continuity so the connections seem to be okay. I'm thinking potentially my compressor has sh*t itself or at least the compressor switch. How can I manually bypass the BCM to test...

[NSW] Blown Fuse - Easy Fix(?) - Air Cond

Hey guys I recently installed a new car battery in my VT S2 Commodore. No problem in doing this. It is well braced and the terminals are on solid. I noticed driving last night that my air-conditioning compressor is not switching on. The button and LED works fine when pressed in and turns...

VT Auto Transmission Cooler - Installation questions

Hey guys Well after much thought I have opted to give my VT S2 LS1 automatic a transmission cooler. Now I have read several threads and have different questions as a result. There is a thread on here that relates to a DIY installation but the pictures and links no longer work so it is...

    flushing auto oil?

Correct. I did a flush on the weekend. It is very hard to do with 1 person and in all honesty I wouldn't recommend that you do it. Take it to a trans place and get a flush done properly with the pump system they have. When I did it I did both 'P' and 'D' with the same results for flow so...

    Auto Transmission - Metal sound

Hey guys Thought I would post up some more information to see if that helps. Did another drive today and drove the car (at night). The noise is very minimal but it occurs mainly up hills when your doing about 50km/h. I also noticed that 2nd gear to 3rd slightly clunks in a soft...

    Auto Transmission - Metal sound

So you had the same noise problem? It seems I can't hear it when it is cooler (like driving the car at night or first thing in the morning). I do hear it a little bit (if I'm paying attention as it is soft) during stop start driving. Yeah I think the g'box will survive but just want to know what...

    Auto Transmission - Metal sound

Hey guys I have a VT S2. I think the torque converter has slightly been damaged in my auto trans flush. If I accelerate now it will hold gear really tight and accelerate but I hear a slight metal tingling sound. I presume this is apart of the torque converter transmission metal that is...

Auto Transmission Service Guide – 4L60E

No problem, thanks for the feedback. Thought it worthwhile for a write as a lot of threads on auto trans service weren't specific or missed information. Yeah parts guys and parts database systems are hopeless sometimes, especially the people at Repco (that I have dealt with anyway).

Auto Transmission Service Guide – 4L60E

Yeah no I agree with you about the markings. Just have to be careful with the file. I went a little too much but you can do this method and not make any markings. The grooves are extremely small and can't be seen once you put the seal in. The markings wasn't intentional but they are there (hope...

Auto Transmission Service Guide – 4L60E

Please note this guide is written at a simplistic level so anyone can follow these instructions. I thought to share my ideas and write as much detail as possible based on my own experience on servicing a 4L60E transmission. This auto trans was standard for VT V6 and V8’s, including LS1’s...

    flushing auto oil?

You have to add trans oil as you drain it in proportion. You will need to have the transmission in drive in order for the trans to pump the fluid through the box and into the radiator. So you need to undo the transmission cooling line at the radiator and then fill the trans with fluid. You...

Transmission line clip - What special tool is needed?

I was told about the line supposedly being a press fitting but I just wanted to check so thanks for that. I have had a look at the nut at the radiator but it is hard to get to with an open ended spanner as the radiator edges protrude out. There is also hardly turn area for the spanner at the...

Come on guys. Someone on here must be able to give me an answer or even a solution to my question.

Transmission line clip - What special tool is needed?

Hey guys Just wondering how do you undo the following transmission line (I have a VT Auto and want to do a flush). Do you need a special tool? See picture below: Any help much appreciated. Alternative is to undo the nut at the radiator but it is hard to get too with a open ended...

How much should i pay to get my fuel pump done on my vx

The fuel pump is positioned inside the tank. You have to lower the petrol tank down a fair way or straight to the bottom of the ground. It can be done by yourself but it is a bit of work. You have to be delicate with the fuel pump as well as the sender unit is inside the housing. You can do...

    VX Commodore Prices

Old rule of thumb is still true in your case. What you pay is generally what you will get in terms of condition and quality. Just look for something with the lowest km's possible. My thought is that the vx was GMH's answer of any bugs etc that was experienced with the VT's. Get the series 2...

Front calliper - piston boot refitting and sliding piston into bore

Hey guys I decided to replace both sets of brake pads a few days ago. The left front went fine but the right front gave me issues. When I depressed one of the pistons at the right front calliper the other piston went completely out (understandable) but was stuck as a consequence...
