    Cammed BLACKVE SS ute

How do you find the KPM over the X-Force system? The X-Force seems to be significantly louder but no where near as clean an exhaust note in my opinion...

    [VIC]: VE A6 224/230 .050 114LSA Cam owners?

Max mod - check your PMs. I'd like to see how a cammed car behaves in normal situations. From what I've read it's fine if you match your stall to your cam appropriately.

Hey mate, I sent you a PM on LS1 a few days ago. Have a look when you get the chance. Damian.

    [VIC]: VE A6 224/230 .050 114LSA Cam owners?

Fair enough. From everyone I've spoken to, it seems like stalls the only way to go. Now I'm just hanging out for someone who's willing to take me for a spin on their cammed and stalled car. Would like to know what I'm in for with regards to everyday duties.

    [VIC]: VE A6 224/230 .050 114LSA Cam owners?

The cam i'm looking at is the "cam of choice" the Pontiac G8 guys are using without a converter. As far as what I've read, a good tune will stop pushing at idle speeds etc. I really want to see what a car with this cam behaves like before I commit to it. I thought I may as well find out...

    [VIC]: VE A6 224/230 .050 114LSA Cam owners?

I'm pretty keen on getting a 224/230 .050 114LSA cam to suit my no stall VE SSV. I just wanted to know if anyone on here has this cam (or similar) in their car without a stall and how it feels to drive? Ideally, I'd love to meet up with someone who has this setup to show me the idle note...

2012 VE SSV Redline Ute- Heron White

Thought I might warn you mate. The KPM system tucks up really nice if you buy catback only! If you get the headers and cats, it hangs like a bitch. My VE tucks a tad of tyre on the rear and has a one finger gap between the arch and tyre at the front and my lowest point on the exhaust is 70mm....

White SV6 - My Second Love

Yeah i was about to wash my car this morning... And it started to drizzle... So i vacuumed the interior instead haha. VZ Fuel Gauge Problem

I still can't believe no one has any answers to this... The short term fix has been keeping the tank full - seems to be more a curate with a greater amount of fuel in the tank... Anyone?

    VZ Fuel Gauge Problem

We still have nothing on this? No one has had the dodgy gauge fixed? What I can't understand is how does a gauge work perfectly for 135,000kms and then all the sudden start going nuts everytime you go under half a tank of fuel? There must be a simple sensor or something that has just packed...

    VZ Fuel Gauge Problem

How can their be no fix to this? It must be something simple. My brothers VZ Calais has just recently started showing an erratic fuel gauge. It's got 135,xxxkms on it and has been fitted with a new fuel pump and fuel filter. I figure temporarily, you can calculate the fuel used by the cars...

    Reaper's work Hack

Walkinshaw offer lowered MRC springs. Not a terrible option for those who want the look while changing very little of the original running gear. First car cheap modifications

At the end of the day you have a sports suspension setup. FE2 is designed to handle well as well as be comfortable enough to on everyday roads. My car is on coilovers, which sits roughly 85mm from the lowest point under the car. If I take things slow, I haven't had much of a problem on...

VE SS with AFM exhaust while not voiding warranty?

On second thought, a mild steel X-force system with AFM disabled is the best bang for buck exhaust.

VE SS with AFM exhaust while not voiding warranty?

Hey mate, This was a big concern of mine when I was doing my Cat-back. I ended up going for KPM's 2.5" catback. They promised no drone even when in AFM mode. I'd agree with that, however you get a bit of a popping going from 8 -> 4 and more noticeably from 4 -> 8. With the KPM, the transitions...

    ssv ve ute

Sounds like you have bad fuel mate. Is the ute ever jerky or rough when reving up to 3500? When it hits 3500 does it just get stuck there? Bad fuel killed my fuel pump which did this to my car a while back$

SV6 VE Mods/Add-ons for more KW's, what have you done?

No. It's not the same thing; having a 200kw standard Aurion is completely legal for a P-Plater; having a modified SV6 is ILLEGAL for a P Plater. Cops enforce the law that is set by government. They will not rationalize with that little story, as the law doesn't say they can. If you're a P-Plater...

VE SS II Walkinshaw Power Pack + Headers + 3.45 Diff. Thoughts?

You will make more power from an OTR than you will from headers and cats. It's definitely far from worthless. A lot of guys do OTR + Tune only, and gains them a tidy 30+rwkw. Headers and cats aren't that important these days, there will be a definite gain, but they're definitely no where near...

    Which size headers? 1 5/8, 1 3/4 or 1 7/8??

Got a couple: Australian LS1 and Holden Forums Australian LS1 and Holden Forums If you cbf reading through the whole threads: As far as I'm aware (and i'm not an expert on any of these topics), for the minimal difference in cost, the pacemakers seem to make slightly better power. It's most...

Not 100% happy with VE sound system

I've done a little digging around for you mate. There isn't knobs sticking out of the PDX like I thought there might be, the gains look like this: And the Alpine V Power monoblock: You may have to turn your sub box around to get to them though.

    Which size headers? 1 5/8, 1 3/4 or 1 7/8??

In all seriousness, if you're now choosing the 1 & 3/4 over the 1 & 5/8s, you're making the right choice. The 6L are a big engine and can handle big primary pipes. Go 1 & 3/4s as a minimum. I noticed in your ride section, you own a omega? Is this the car you're putting extractors on? If so, 1 &...

    My ve's internet debut :)

^^ He does have a point though. Holden have never used a LS2 in any of there VE's. HSV did for the E1s before changing to the LS3s. You'll find you actually have a L98 if it's manual or a L76 if it's auto. Huge power on that dyno read out. Seems pretty high given the mods. But the...

My SV6 with the Super Sports

Mate, if you didn't have the supersports, this thing would look like the biggest cop car with the aerials on the back! Very Intimidating! :) How's the capa supercharger going? What type of power is it making? Got a dyno graph? HSV brakes is an intellegent mod. I like the ssv lights all round...

    Which size headers? 1 5/8, 1 3/4 or 1 7/8??

Pacies are the only way to go. 1 & 7/8s if you're going to cam/supercharge/turbocharge in the future. 1 & 3/4s if you plan to keep it bolt on only. 1 & 5/8s if you have no clue wtf is going on and just bought something because it was the cheapest you could find...

VEII SSV Redline edition - Mods started now check engine light

I just got off the phone to vcm and they said its not a prolem, the sensors just pick up the extra air flow into the engine. Extra air with the same fuel leans the engine out marginally. The amount is outside the narrow factory sensor range but isn't a problem. Apparently the cars run a little...

Rim Suggestions for Atomic Green VE Ute

Considering you won't be lowering it (or by much if you decide to), I would stay away from the black center. Good choice going for 20's, much better for ride comfort and for performance. But in 20's, having a black center and polished lip creates the illusion that the wheels are smaller than...

E85 Fuel for the 6L......Anyone using it? what are your thoughts??

    VE SV6 vs VE Calais V (

If i was you, I would be getting my money back through the ACCC, having their licence checked and possibly cancelled so they can't do something like this to the next guy as well. E85 Fuel for the 6L......Anyone using it? what are your thoughts??

I've been using it in my Redline Sedan for about 3-4months now. Your choices are Caltex and United. There are slight differences between the two brands which i'll detail below: Caltex (E-Flex): Is quoted to be 70-85% ethanol depending on the season (the colder it is, the lesser ethanol...
