    VZ problem

If it misses at idle you can try unplugging each coil individually to trace which cylinder is misfiring, you should notice a difference in engine revs and tone when each coil is unplugged, if there isnt a difference then you will know which cylinder is misfiring. Then check the sparkplug or even...

Can I correct my speedo on my VE?

The speedo calibration is in the engine ECU, the calibration may be out depending on what size wheels and tyres are fitted. Holdens can re-program the ecu to different tyre wheel and tyre sizes but won't be covered under warranty. Also the is always gonna be a difference between gps speed...

VY Series 1 driver door window issue

I'm guessing the window regulator is broken, they have white clips on the regulator arms which slide in the window guides, common problem where these clips break off and the arm hits the bottom of the window. Take the door trim off to have a look.

    vy ss

The PCV hose usually split at the throttle body or at the Y connection at the back of the intake. Replacing the hose is pretty simple, or if its only split at the throttle body you can cut off the split hose and fit a piece hose about 1inch long of better quality, if its not fixed it can put...

oh yes power steering shudder help

They obviously didn't fit a steering shudder hose kit. The vy's did have a recall on the power steering cooler hoses as they wouldn't stop leaking due to the crappy clamps the factory used, maybe they did that?

    hand brake adjustment???

There is a handle adjustment under the boot of the handle, you'll need a deep 10mm socket and wind it down, this tightens the cable to the handle. Should be around the 6-7 clicks. If you've tightened the handle and it still doesn't hold then it will require adjusting at the rear handbrake...

    Th Door won't unlock

they jam up due to dust and dirt getting into the door and jamming up the actuator, there is a plastic weather cover behind the door trim but it doesn't protect the parts inside the door. I fitted one today, quoted 200 including part and labour. Takes about 20 to 30min if you know what you're...

    Th Door won't unlock

the beep is indicating that one of the doors isn't locked, common problem on vy to vz with lock actuators jamming. From memory they're around $130 mark, but don't hold me to it.

oh yes power steering shudder help

ps There isn't any specific way to bleed the system, if its not noisey then it shouldn't need bleeding, if the fluid was pink and had lots of little bubbles in then it'd need doing. Here's a pic of where the hose sits behind the fans, the hose then runs under the oil filter towards the rack...

back of the handle adjustment with a deep 10mm socket and ratchet. remove the rear calipers and discs, clean off all the dust on the shoes. Windscreen fogging up

Check the air con drain tube for any blockages, its a rubber tube up on the trans tunnel, can get to it from underneath and poke up a piece of wire like a coathanger. But sure does sound like heater core, which means dash out.

traction control and abs light wont turn off

When all the lights come on and stay on its due to a bad earth inside the ABS ecu, can check this by wriggling the main harness on the side of the module and see if the lights go out. If you find this to be the problem, only buy the ecu part as you won't need the part where all the pipes go and...

    where has it gone

Remove a screw up underneath the compartment under the radio and then the trim just rips up, its clipped in but the clips can be quite tough, the switch can easily be replaced once its out.

    Handbrake

there is a handle adjustment and a lining adjustment, the handle adjustment is next to the handle behind the boot, you will need a deep 10mm socket Lining adjustment you will need to remove the rear discs and use a flat blade screw driver to turn the teethed wheel to wind out the adjuster.

    Disconnecting transmission line.

Those clips are used for high pressure fuel line removal, i'm pretty sure those lines are a fixed anyway, where did you get that picture from? A holden program called SIP? might be easier to undo the line from tha radiator if you wanna do a flush.
