Alright I picked up another throttle body, this one had both the spring and the plastic adapter. However, it has a much smaller shaft compared to the TB I had, leading me to believe I was correct saying the existing one didn't need the adapter.

If anyone has a picture of one that'd be handy. I went to local wreckers looking for S1 TB to no avail but might see if they have some VP /VR ones that I can potentially raid for the adapter.

Well I went for a drive about 15k down the highway and back, It seems to run alright but CEL stays on, came back through town and I noticed there is a little hesitation (almost like a misfire) taking off from a dead stop like set of lights.

Old TPS was throwing code 21, this one is throwing 22, but neither did both.

My understanding is series 1's don't from what Ive seen around.

My TB didn't have one

Done all that, throws code 22 straight away no matter what. Replaced the connector for the TPS as well.

Fitted new TPS today, car drives fine (idle seems high in park though) but it throws a code 22 now...

Anyone know if they are driveable with the TPS unplugged?

Well reset codes, went for another drive and got CEL a few times, once again code 21.

I used a Tridon brand. Anyway I checked codes and got a code 21: Throttle pos sensor above 2.5 volts for 2 seconds when engine speed below 1600 rpm TPS is also new. about a month old, Which was a delphi one I believe

Brand new IAC installed a month ago so I would hope not.

Throttle body recently fully cleaned with brand new IAC and TPS. Sometimes when it starts chugging I will go to give it some gas but it doesn't help which is why I'm inclined to say fuel.

Update: Booster from a VP at the wreckers has fixed it. The old one

Don't believe I mentioned it earlier but definite evidence the old master cylinder was leaking out the back, paint had bubbled down the front of the booster where brake fluid had been running.
