Remove your door trim... there is a how to for that somewhere here, and you should be able to find and fix your problems pretty easily.

I second that. Mine snapped off inside the hose and wreckers wanted $40 just for new reservoir. Also a pain in the rear if its your only car and you dont live anywhere near a wreckers. All I wanted to do was replace the tensioner and now I have this problem... LOL NEVER ENDS

Just a reminder to all that when you do take these rubber stoppers out you replace them afterward. When I got my VR the struts were already broken and the rubbers missing. I didn't even know they were meant to there. When I went and bought new struts and installed them, they too were broken...

I know you can take the fluid out. Should be a plug somewhere on or around the pan of the box. I dont know you may have to suck it out with syringe. Gearbox servicing kits are available, so i suppose you might even want to look at that. Good luck with the compatibility quest...
