this is from a 07 ve calais my brother just brought i swap it to the old one from the vz i had already drilled, i will clean it and do the mod keep it as a spare

also the studs on the vb to vz are smaller diameter then the ve/vf so need to be drilled just take them to a wheel repairer/machine shop

this hard top was already fitted to my ute by holden when i brought it brand new back February 96, brand is flat top but i just checked there web site and cannot see any there for vg-vs utes but the ute shop does have them...

2nd hand parts i know are a risk but sometime you have no choice unless someone starts a business to refurbish AC compressors for commodores or any make you cant new anymore

i had to replaced the compressor on the vs ute 2 months ago cant get new anymore they have been discontinued, the shop charge me $175 for 2nd hand $220 labour including gst and $200 for the AC bloke, leak test and regas i have seen new compressors online but there is a risk hope it fits and...

i got a brand new vu m/c as a spare sitting in a box and compare it to my old vs m/c and have a modified vt-vy m/c fitted which i got off ebay back in 2018 it has a reservoir of a AU falcon so the bolt hole lines up

i have the vacuum bleeder makes the job so much easier and does comes with a bottle you fill with brake fluid to insert into the master cylinder its has different size legs to fit various m/c

i have brought structs from the company thats in VS 5.0 post for the vs ute hard lid, supercheap for vz bonnet needed asap and ebay i got heavy duty for boot lid fitted with a spoiler over the last couple of years

yes it does Lex i have seen a bloke pull it out on the vr/vs owner group on facebook but will it be brittle and break that we dont know maby that what some ones done

yes braided hose from safebrake only because its of the ground but plenty of slack when it on the ground

there lot of threads on here people making the same mistake fitting ve/vf pads

and these pads are the first one i had that has a wear marker to let you know when the pads need changing when it hits the rotor and make a noise

here is a pic of the ve/vf rda pads i use and you can clearly see the 2 pins of the inner that fits in between the pistons i fitted ve brakes to my vs ute over for 10 year now

you got the pads in the right way theres a inner and outer some do have the words written on them or pins on the back 2 in the middle inner and 2 spaced apart outer

20k engine and trans are the dearest conversion kits fueling, cooling, wiring, headers/exhaust and dont have to worry about engineering if it not going to registed...

i had this installed today diff support bush and superpro insert, there was a noise when you took off from the rear this has fixed it so no noise

i had the reservoir full and the engine dry even the mechanics says always check the engine and make sure you see coolant if not top it up as for some unknown reason it will not suck out of the reservoir i been doing this well over 10 years now

you should see coolant when you unscrew the cap

month ago i pulled the battery out to clean and paint the tray on the vz and when i put the battery back in 2-3 days later i remember it took a couple of goes to get it started by twisting the terminals as it just made a clicking sound the only thing that did not work was the radio buttons on...

i seen a bloke pull it out and push it back in using a stiff bit of wire on the vr/vs owner group on facebook as this bloke is explaining in this vid

i remove the bolts to clean and lube the slide pins and i think the torque specs about 30-35nm but i do them up as tight as possible and recheck about 1000km

175kw leo has 2 one behind the ecu other one near the inlet coolant elbow as in this vid

i do both at 9 months they do around 3- 5000km each year

wonder no one has came up with a external fuel filter bypass like the well known mod for suzuki motorbikes, people refuse to pay 500-700 bucks for the intank high pressure fuel filter and we also have the tea bag under the pump thats also get very dirty

no just keep the tank at half so its not sucking all the crap from the bottom and i don t know why they didn t keep external fuel filters
