    F###ing Pothole!

man, I'm pissed about one wheel. But two in two days, that sucks. I sent my first email just to Brisbane city council, as long as its one of the councils roads i'd imagine just the same kinda deal in a different state, i cant remember what the department was but it was just on the councils site...

    F###ing Pothole!

Finally got a reply after a few phone calls and Emails, apparently i need to get a quote for the damage and lodge an insurance claim through the council, though the bloke tells me it's not guaranteed to be paid out.. I'm thinking my odds have to be semi ok if they're wanting me to at least make...

    F###ing Pothole!

They're only 18's on standard profile tyres, nothing too over the top, i've been given a claim number and am waiting on a call from the operations officer or something, got a call from one bloke just saying the road would be fixed ASAP.. Told him that didnt really help with my car looking like...

    F###ing Pothole!

Score! I'm hoping it works out. I've enquired with the council as to whether or not its their road, still waiting on a reply.. and sent them a nice long couple of emails.. It's a bit of a prick to replace too, went to village motors for a quote on a new wheel and its 480 per wheel without...

    F###ing Pothole!

I'm not sure if this has been covered or not but as the title states, i have a bit of a gripe with potholes.. the other day i was driving home about 11pm, down a road that is fairly poorly lit ( thats an understatement ) and to my surprise half way down the road, doing the 70k speed limit a...

check power train error coming on when given it some stick

i think when using the trip computer it only show's "major" problem codes. But i seem to remember pressing the "mode + up + down" keys in some order and you get into the diagnostic mode where you can check engine temp, digital tacho, fuel readings and voltage meter as well as "problem codes"

    Auto to Manual

dont know for sure on the ve's but a reconditioned vz 6 speed gearbox conversion kit can start from around $2500, but i think then you might have to change the diff ratio if you change the gearbox?

check power train error coming on when given it some stick

it might pay to check the coil pack... mine used to miss fire when i'd floor it, then go back to normal, after a while the misfire just stuck till i got a new one.

    Vz alloytec rough idle

vy v6 in a vz for fuel economy

moght be able to get a better exhaust note from an ecotec if you like the sound of a fart rumbling in your ear all day, but the alloytec is definitely the better engine for fuel economy

    Distance to empty?

i dont know if it should be this high but whenever i fill my tank it says i've got 760 - 780k's till empty, keep it below 2500 RPM and you'll average like 9L / 100km.

Does any body know where to get vz parts...

well one day whilst driving home from work, the car just started idling crapily, which i am fairly sure is the motor misfiring from the sounds and feel of it, i was just thinking it was an o2 sensor as i'd been told that by a few people. but the "nice" people at village motors told me coil pack...

Does any body know where to get vz parts...

well i'd like to say that i'm mechanicaly minded... but im not a very good liar, in saying that how might one find out if it is just the one coil failing?

Does any body know where to get vz parts...

As the title states. I'm not 100% sure if this has been asked yet as I just came home from the Holden dealership. but i was just wandering if anyone knows the going rate for a VZ executive coil pack, inlet manifold gasket and an oil pressure switch / sensor. The people at village motors quoted...
