VF Specific - Cadillac CTS-V V2 6 Pot Brembo Upgrade

Awesome, thanks. That's been my biggest concern about doing it. Actually, considering the rear is getting a much more substantial upgrade compared to the front. Do people feel as if it changes the way the car feels under brakes?

VF Specific - Cadillac CTS-V V2 6 Pot Brembo Upgrade

Are you able to fit these under the standard 19" rim, or do you have to be running a 20" to get away with it?

You just said yourself that it's down on torque. Horsepower sells cars, torque wins races ;)

    Dyno Sheets

According to Sonny, he reckons it made quite nice power from factory. So, that being the case, you would assume that the gains were the same and the end result just ended a tiny bit higher then normal. Though, it is also around the ball-park figure of what I've seen anyway. Either way, it drives...

Moving on from my ve ss to VF SS V is it worth it???

The early models are capable of running E85 The automatics have AFM. (Not sure if the LS3 has it?)

    200+ rwkw on a VE SV6

Far enough in the outback to get a remote tune? But not far enough to mean that you couldn't get a run on a dyno to find out it's got 200rwkw?

VF Holden Commodore Issues and Faults

Something I noticed yesterday when I popped the bonnet. The top strut rubbers are getting chewed away and bits of rubber flakes are building up on strut towers, on a car that's a bit over a year old with 16,000km. I'm not particularly impressed with it!

A V6 can do better the times than the average V8? Maybe with a decent amount of work to it, yes. Stock for stock? Yeah, right...

    Alternator Not charging battery!

Throw a multi-meter on the battery and see what voltage you've got. Then put your air-conditioner on, and put every light you can on (including high beams). Check the voltage again whilst maintaining the revs at about 1200-1500RPM. If you're voltage is low at this point, and/or decreasing...

VF Holden Commodore Issues and Faults

That's certainly not an issue at all, in my opinion. Have to do the same thing to get the spare out of my landcruiser, and that's got a hell of a lot heavier tyre to drag out. Try doing that with a 33" mud tyre on a steel rim, in a mud bath. I'll take the SV6 any day. LOL. As for the different...

VF Holden Commodore Issues and Faults

Some of the utes do come with a spare, however, the Redline comes with nothing spare, no tools, no jack, nothing. Just a tyre pump with some foam to inject into the tyre.

VF Holden Commodore Issues and Faults

Yes. Here's a big one. My SSV-Redline Ute doesn't come with a spare, of any sort. Nor does it come with the hanging equipment to place a spare under the back, or any tools. It only comes with a foam and pump kit. To rub salt into the wound, to buy said gear from Holden spare parts will cost...

What deal did you get on a VF?

Just placed my order today. Joining the VF club! VF SSV Redline Ute in Nitrate Silver Manual w/ Towbar, Twin Hump Hard Cover & Floor mats. All drive away for $54,000. Don't know exactly how that rates, but pretty happy with it. Hopefully take delivery of it Tuesday next week. Just in time...

    CCTV - Shed

IP Camera's are great. The programming options and choices you have in setup make them fantastic for installers looking for an exact setup (Once they understand them). But along with the price, they bring another issue to the table; Networking. They require a much more complicated setup to take...

If you're willing to spend the money then you can go a full pan/tilt zoom Dome camera with subject tracking. It'll focus in the main subject in the frame, and follow it as it moves. Though, as I said, they're not cheap.

They may possibly do a Dome camera, however, I'm talking full body camera's here.

For a good vision at night you've got 2 real choice, an infrared camera, or an extremely good Day/Night dedicated camera. Infrared camera's a fairly good, and relatively cheap (Not saying they're dirt cheap). The problem with them because of the infrared lighting at night they're not as...

VT Rims (235/45 R17) onto a VR. Will it rub?

VT Rims (235/45 R17) onto a VR. Will it rub?

I tried doing a search for 235/45 R17 in the VR-VS ride section, and could only find one relevant post who seems to have them and he isn't having any problems. I was kind of hoping for a little more opinion though if possible. Just to be 110% sure.

VT Rims (235/45 R17) onto a VR. Will it rub?

Hi there, I currently have a VR V6, at standard height on 215/60 R15. I'm very interested in a set of VT SS Rims, which currently have a set of 235/45 R17 tyres on it. I also have just recently got a set of 30mm Lowered King Springs for the front and rear of the car and will be putting...

Upgrading VR V6 brakes to V8 or possible VT conversion

Yes, I understand the M/C TO the ABS module, but I don't understand the difference between an ABS master cylinder, and a non-abs master cylinder. And I don't just want to do M/C and Booster, it's just what I'd like first. Once I get those, I'll be putting in new rotors and pads as well, with...

Upgrading VR V6 brakes to V8 or possible VT conversion

Could someone please clarify why there is a need for a slightly different master cylinder for abs and non abs? I would assume on the abs cars, that because there is only a front and rear brake line to the abs module where it gets split to each wheel, that the abs module would control all the...

Upgrading VR V6 brakes to V8 or possible VT conversion

Is all the attitude really necessary? Just because it's a 6, does that mean it shouldn't stop as well as an 8? I'm after a 1" master. Gives slightly less pedal feel, but a higher pedal. It's a personal choice as to what I like. No. I personally prefer a higher pedal. It gives me more...

Upgrading VR V6 brakes to V8 or possible VT conversion

Pads and rotors aren't my main concern. It's more M/C and Booster. Which makes me ask, is there a 1" master cylinder to suit an ABS?
