    VY-VZ Radiator Fans

Would a fan assembly for a VZ V6 fit in a VY V6? It looks like the radiator fan and condenser fan are on the opposite sides from VY to VZ

    SS Idle Relearn Procedure

Did it go back to normal? Just keep driving it mate, the new/cleaned throttle body will need to learn its new idle position. My car took over 2 weeks of driving for it to go back to normal

    SS Idle Relearn Procedure

As of today the car is 100% back to normal. When the problem started i tried everything from idle learn procedures, resetting TPS to checking for vac leaks with no success. The only thing that worked was simply driving the car as usual. I could feel it getting better and better everyday until it...

    SS Idle Relearn Procedure

I have disconnected the battery yes. Still no joy. I should mention that i also have a VCM OTR which was absolutely filthy which i cleaned at the same time as the TB. The air filter looks like new now. That wouldn't be causing issues with the engine getting more air into it and causing the rpm...

    Nope, double checked that today

    SS Idle Relearn Procedure

The idle is normal when i FIRST start the car, its only after i have gone for a drive that the revs increase while in park. Maybe i need to start the procedure when the revs are high after a drive? Cleaned with throttle body cleaner and micro fibre cloth, car not running and yes moved throttle...

    SS Idle Relearn Procedure

I did the first part of this procedure today (saw on youtube). I have not done the drive above 70km/h bit. Will do that tommorow. The weird thing is that when i first start the car the idle is normal. Its only after i have gone for a drive then put it back in park that the revs go up to 2000rpm...

    SS Idle Relearn Procedure

Searched the forums, followed youtube videos, still can't find a solution for this. Engine idles at 2000rpm in park but comes back to normal around 800rpm when in Drive. Still seems to hang around that 1500rpm when trying to decelerate around town making it a pain to drive. This all happened...

    VE and VF Same Exhaust?

Hi, just wondering if a set of stock cats off an L98 VE SSV will bolt straight up to the Series 1 VF SSV stock manifolds? Also is the cat back exactly the same dimensions and everything between the two? Cheers

Pressure Control Solenoid Fault (Auto SS)

Car has 170,000km on the clock but the transmission fluid and filter were changed at 150,000, i should mention that this issue actually did happen once before the fluids and filter were changed.

Pressure Control Solenoid Fault (Auto SS)

Gave the SS a bit of a boot full the other day and it ended up going into neutral while im doing 100km/h, then the check engine light came on. I was a bit worried but after shutting the car off for a minute all was back to normal. Then today it happened again while i was using the active select...

    rattle in door

Welcome to the VE mate. All of them rattle in one place or another, mine has several in the doors and dash and I just turn the music up because im not ripping the whole car to pieces to locate them. Sorry I couldn't be of help but the rattle could be anywhere in the door and most of the time it...

hey can i turbo my sv6 thunder ute sidi 2012

Hate to say this but if you want a turbo six you should get an XR6 Turbo. They really do hook along too.

    Xforce 2.5inch exhaust

I could be wrong but I think 100cpi cats from Xforce are the only option.
  17. Robbo VS3

    Xforce 2.5inch exhaust

I would go the 1 3/4 headers with 100 cell 3 inch cats.
  18. Robbo VS3

    Xforce 2.5inch exhaust

I would add headers and cats to your 2.5 and if that's not loud enough switch it out for the 3 inch (the headers and cats will fit both the 2.5 and 3 inch systems). I also started out with only the 2.5 Xforce catback then added headers and cats later and it made a huge difference to the exhaust...

Xforce extractors & 100 cell cats instal v8

Really? So a Difilippo or KPM catback would hook straight up to Xforce headers and cats?

Still no joy, the top buts on the struts were very tight.

Knocking in Front End After Fitting Super Lows

Well we went over the whole lot and we ruled out bearings/bushes, swaybar links etc they are all fine. The only thing we can put it down to is the coil spring hitting against itself over harsh bumps, a couple of the coils are very close together and we think that is what it is. While we were...

Knocking in Front End After Fitting Super Lows

Just had King Super Lows with shortened KYB shocks installed all round in my 07 SSV. Im getting a knocking/clunking sound from both sides in the front (the rear seems fine) when i go over bumps or a piece of rough road , it seems to be more apparent when cornering. Any ideas?

    Ve stock airbox air entry?

Yep, an OTR fixes that problem.

    xforce exhaust no pulse/lope

No, if you get the 1 3/4" headers (which is what i have and recommend) they have a 3" outlet and the xforce 3" cats will bolt straight up to your 2.5" catback
  26. Robbo VS3

    xforce exhaust no pulse/lope

Mate I have been through the same thing, I have the 2.5" Xforce catback and now have Xforce 4-1's and high flow cats as well. When I had just the catback I thought it sounded very flat as well with no pulse. I can tell you now that installing the rest of the system (headers and cats) completely...

    VCM OTR Issues

@vk2him Doesn't make much noise just cruising around, just a slight suction sound. You will certainly hear it at WOT though.

    VCM OTR Issues

Do you have to have purchased the intake directly from VCM for them to send a replacement? I bought mine through tuff car parts on ebay. Im a bit worried about mine now.
  29. Robbo VS3

    VCM OTR Issues

Hmmm can't say i have had this issue with mine yet, but im glad i kept my MAF because at least the MAF mesh will stop any bugs from going directly into your engine as opposed to MAFLESS.

Removing Centre Muffler From 2.5 Xforce

Yeah think i might upgrade to a 3 inch difilippo.
  31. Robbo VS3

Removing Centre Muffler From 2.5 Xforce

Got a full system on the SSV and am still looking for a little more sound out of it. Would removing the centre muffler from the 2.5" catback be a good alternative to stepping up to 3 inch? Would it make it much louder, more drone?

VE SS high pitch noise when accelerating

Mine does this also. Sounds kinda cool like it has a supercharger because for some reason the sound is matched to the engine revs.

    VY Equipe Fuel Sender Problem

I have a VY V6 that seems to be having trouble knowing how much fuel is in its tank. The fuel warning comes on when there is still 20 litres in the tank and the needle drops rapidly after filling the tank full, so its giving me a completely false reading. If this is a fuel sender failure, where...

    Spending Money On My SV6

In my opinion the only money worth spending on an SV6 are on visual mods, wheels etc. Forget wasting money on the engine.

    Raised ute

Just get some raised springs. King springs will do the job. Part numbers are: Front: KHFR-19 Rear: KHRR-69
  36. Robbo VS3

    King springs for the ve's

That will look ridiculous, I think you would want at least SSL in the rear mate, but if you think the SSSL/FE2 combo looks good, thats fine. HD springs are stiffer and designed to handle more weight (why people put them in the rear) and perhaps be a more "sporty" ride.
  37. Robbo VS3

    08 ssv ute.

Around 300kw (402hp) at the wheels is my guess.
  38. Robbo VS3

Series 2 VE Calais V or VF Evoke

A lot of that will definitely be down to the FE2 suspension. Put the standard suspension in and smaller wheels for the most comfortable ride possible. Plenty of VE standard suspension on ebay and gumtree for cheap.
