How low will Super-low or Low springs make my VS commodore?

This is a huge thread dig but I'm sick and tired of reading garbage so I'm going to give my opinion on the matter. Take it for what you will but I fit springs on a regular basis at work and have done testing to my own car before acquiring such job. King spring SL WILL require a shortened/stiff...

Hi all, just after some help on the following Today i Had the car tuned it wemt well, better than expected, nice smooth graphs etc. Drove the car out then up the road about 100m before i Turned it off on the side of the road and was on my phone for 20 or so minutes, upon starting it backup it...

V6 Conversion For Vb To Vk

Use the vr air compressor and vn air con lines plus receiver drier. Its the easiest way. Ill be using the vh receiver drier and making custom lines in my bay as the whole thing is custom. Youll need to wire a switch up to trigger the ecu as the ecu controls the entire air con unit.

Vs l67 into VH running rough and crossfiring when cold only

Update; my tuner played around with the tune now that I had it running again on a maf. He managed to get it almost 100% but moment he plugs the map in and uses the kalmaker software it floods the engine instantly even when he sets the injector rate lower. So I decided to go with a gen3 maf as...

Vs l67 into VH running rough and crossfiring when cold only

I had a spare set of Coil packs and DFI so i swapped them in my wagon, bought brand new leads for the car again (bougicord leads, GM style) and took the fouled up iridium spark plugs out for a stock set of NGK plugs. The car fired up almost instantly after that but now it has a miss, and...

Vs l67 into VH running rough and crossfiring when cold only

Yes I did assemble it all myself. All the vac leaks have been sealed up which brought the idle better but the way it idles now is a crossfire. There's no way that a vac leak could possibly do this. I haven't pushed the car yet to see what it does under load but cruising conditions was around...

Vs l67 into VH running rough and crossfiring when cold only

Hey mate 4 of 6 plugs fouled up. I'm not sure which 4 yet. Thing is I had it running better than what stage it is in now with all the same gear and it was only just rough on cold running. And I'm using a Delco ecu for both the map and maf tune.

Vs l67 into VH running rough and crossfiring when cold only

Thanks for the reply mate, I'm worried that if I put the 1000cc Bosch injectors in now I'll flood my motor? The afr has gone all the way to 21.4 and started popping at that ratio only. Previously it just ran rough at the slightly less leaner ratios.

Vs l67 into VH running rough and crossfiring when cold only

You must've misread the first paragraph. We've mucked around with afrs and going from maf to map tunes. None of which seem to be working out very well.

Vs l67 into VH running rough and crossfiring when cold only

My ecotec (l67 top swapped) runs like a bag of **** and fouled up 4 of 6 iridium plugs only when cold. It's currently in a for a tune but we can't get the damn thing going properly despite mucking around with AFRs and map/maf tunes. It would idle lean (as per the wideband gauge) and once at...

New bearings can still be noisy. Do not be fooled by this. They need greasing then they will shut up.

VH SL V6 ecotec Wiring issues

Hi, I've dropped a V6 engine into my VH and it has the engine wiring loom connected with the ECU but I'm having troubles working out on the car what wire what. Does anybody have a Wiring Diagram for the wires that are left over on the body? And if there's anyone who's done this conversion...

VT Front brake conversion onto VS Commodore - COMPLETED with front calipers locking.

There's got to be something wrong with you, $800 for a VS upgrade kit to VE as opposed to at least half of that price for VT. This VT kit has costed me $100 in total so far, that's a master from the wrecker and a new booster from the wrecker. As i said, my old car had the conversion done and...

VT Front brake conversion onto VS Commodore - COMPLETED with front calipers locking.

Hey mate. No, the problem hasn't been sorted. I cracked the shits for now and put a VS master and another VS booster on(As i grinded the pushrod down which then didn't leave me with enough room to push the piston back for the rear brakes to activate' The hub ring centralises the rotor, i've...

VT Front brake conversion onto VS Commodore - COMPLETED with front calipers locking.

Oh? Lets see... Because the ve brake kit is far more expensive? I had vt gear lying around so I used it. I wanted better braking I didn't want an extreme brake pedal. Its not hard to understand why people bother with 3rd gen commodore gear.

VT Front brake conversion onto VS Commodore - COMPLETED with front calipers locking.

Yes i did remove that bolt inside the push rod. And no, you do not require a VT booster when doing this.

VT Front brake conversion onto VS Commodore - COMPLETED with front calipers locking.

Calipers are reconditioned. When i go to put the master onto the booster i can feel it pushing the piston in from the booster which didn't happen originaly?

VT Front brake conversion onto VS Commodore - COMPLETED with front calipers locking.

Ok so i've completed the conversion. Front VT calipers, rotors and brake pads. Brake lines made up Hub rings (Still yet to purchase) VT master cylinder and VS reservoir. My brakes were perfect for almost 2 weeks then i got a bad master cylinder leak and my pedal went to ****. I replaced the...

VT engine transplant into a VS wagon

You're lucky your intake manifold actually fitted without removing the heads. Mine didn't so I had to modify the vs one. If the manifold swaps straight over you're in a lot of luck, vs vt vy plenum gaskets are all different. Vs and some vt use rubber o rings, some vt, vz use steel gaskets and.vy...

VT engine transplant into a VS wagon

VX engine into Series 1 VS Commodore Hi mate, it's very simple. You will need to change the following in-conjunction to work with a VS wiring loom (I had to re-use the loom as the car was on gas) 1. Passenger side engine mount bracket (or could be left, it's the thick cast iron white looking...

VT engine transplant into a VS wagon

Thanks guys. So, i broke the pump gear inside the transmission as it wasn't lined up. That was smart ... O well .. Lesson learnt !

leaky brake booster ... i think anyway

That's normal for the brake pedal to go hard when the engine is off. The job of the brake booster is to boost your pedal feel. When you have no vacuum going to it then you have a poor pedal. Hope that helps.

VS Transmission Mount ( AUTO )

VT engine transplant into a VS wagon
