Why can't I set it?

I was using cruise as indication that there's no accelerating or decelerating.

I hope the guys at Bridgestone know how to fit tyres the right way =S I'll be checking that tonight. I'll just have to get ithe suspension checked by a pro.

I know all about physics. Say I have cruise set in 70 on a flat straight road. Driving straight. And say there's a white line or some tar seeping through the road. I drive over it, car jerks and swings to the side, usually to the left. Does that clear it up? Could the rear left suspension be out...

Alrighty I thought traction was grip to the road. Didn't know it was under acceleration. Takes off perfectly fine in the wet but at 60 or higher it does become unstable. It's been through 2 roadworthys and I thought theyd check the suspension. But who knows =)

Backs are a month after front. Admittedly in the dry I drive like everyone else but in the wet (when the tyres were brand new) if I hit a slight bump it sends the back out.

Out of all that it must be hard tyres. Camber kits fitted, I don't mash the go pedal. When I hit wet patches I don't even touch the accelerator otherwise it makes the sliding worse. 225mm profile. I'm lost lol

Cambers fine even wear and both back tyres, don't have an LSD though =S Tyres are pumped to recommended psi

Not the driving, and tyres can't be bad because the front grips. Must be something wrong with the rear as the two rear tyres have worn out after 10xxxkms but the fronts still have 80% tread.

They were brand new, now they need replacing but since I bought them/lowered the car it won't grip. In the dry they are perfect but in the wet i have to sit on 60 or less to avoid sliding out.

Supercats are usually pretty good so not sure if it would be them.

I have vx s2 which has been lowered with ultras and when it's wet it will not grip to the road, I'm doing snakeys driving straight and driftieves round corners and can't help it. The problem is in the rear because the front still grips. Was wondering if lowering can cause this kind of problem or...

sounds like what happened when my fuel pump blew coz the filter was almost blocked.

neutral roll down hills. Rofl. dont use cruise control up hills. it'll change down gears.

today i took off the inlet manifold cover plate to clean it out because it was extraordinarily dirty. in that 30 minutes the rubber seal expanded 2 inchs... why? and how much is a new one?

what sounds wrong with my car. it sits a bit below half and read 98-101 degrees

i still dont get why it shouldnt work.. chip makes computer think air is colder thus more fuel. then you reset ecu so it sucks more air. doesnt more fuel and air = more power? if im wrong i'll take mine out.

VX also has better axles and what not.

mine idles in park at 1000Rpm Idle in Drive at about 800Rpm 100km/h in Drive at 1750-1850 Rpm. might help

open manifold and check for blockages?

haha thats where my other amp is but it isnt screwed down. just bolt it to the plyboard. use small bolts so you dont upset the evenness of the boot. thats just a cover for your tyre. just dont bolt into the metal and you'll be safe.

oh you mean that part. well yea behind that part is just foam and padding and what not. nothing to be worried about. small screws would possibly be better.

haha. right under the rear window is the parcel shelf. under that there is metal. the boot lining is the second layer of metal on the boot that you were referring to. (boot being the part that moves up and down, rear parcel shelf being further behind that)

I screwed mine into the rear parcel shelf part. works a treat.

get the trip metre displayed then hold up and down. should restart it. dunno about stop and go though. too advanced for VT lol..

yea that makes sense. was reading kickdown stuff on other posts.

this is how my dad taught me how to drive. took me to a massive industrial car park. put stockies on the car. said have fun and try keep control. i learnt so much and its saved my ass so many times in the rain/gravel roads.

maybe a kickdown cable is loose or dodgy?

do you know where the car came from? could have an accelerator limiter? my odd work car has them and when you foot to the floor and it'll go like a four cylinder.

i didnt end up checking codes. my car if i did manually change down gears (auto) would either stall or there'd be no acceleration because the fuel pump couldnt push through all the crud built up in the fuel filter.

You could call this a cheap and fast mod. probably will bugger your engine. i've used it. gave it poke for a bit. now i cant notice the difference anyways so i got rid of it. if you do have one you might want to consider cleaning your air intake manifold too. you'll have a lot of unburnt fuel...

I'd say yours sounds more like the solenoid problem or something. i just bought nasty dirty fuel and it wore out the pump. whens the last time you change your fuel filter/pump?

it increases engine timing. nothing about throwing more fuel into it. all it is is a bloody resistor anyway so go buy one for 20c and see if it works.

i dunno about this.. i've put one in and i have noticed more poke in first gear.. im probably gonna get abused now lol. but it's explained and makes sense when you buy it and read the instructions..

perhaps the flash chip ecu is quicker coz i know that changed between vt and vx. also VX was fixing most of the problems with vts so of course your gonna get improvements here and there overall.

trip computers do that all the time, they just arnt very accurate. takes about 5 minutes of driving at the same speed for it to resemble something close to whats left.
