Some time ago i saw either a VY or VZ that had nice chrome door locks. (the plunger bit inside you press down to lock the door). Now i can't find where they come from. Anyone got any clues?

I bought a nice scan tool on ebay but it doesn't reset srs codes, only normal engine codes. anyone know any better tools?

No Scan tool and VMC don't clear the code. Must be in the BCM. If the local mechanic can do it do they have a special tool?

Someone mentioned on this post that the local mechanic reset the SRS Air Bag Code. I thought this could only be done by Holden? I have the VCM Suite and can reprogram my ECU but can't clear SRS codes or preprogram Clusters. Would the mechanic have a Tech2? Can you buy a Tech2 from Holden...

If everything is working normally (ie no SRS faults) and i remove the cluster and drive the car for a couple of weeks and then reconnect it. Will that give me an SRS fault?

What module in the car stores the SRS error code? Is it the Cluster, the ECU or the BCM? Can anyone answer this for sure?

Ok, i turned on the ignition with the air bag disconnected and now i have the SRS airbag error. Does anyone know if the airbag fault code is stored in the Computer (ECU)? I have a VCM programmer and can reflash the ECU with a firmware prior to the error. Don't want to take it to Holden!

Got the power chip version. They send me the programmer and i extracted my VZ bin file and returned it to them. They emailed back the new version, i programmed it. All sweet. BIG difference.

What brand speakers did you settle on? Did they fit in without modication?

I bought a new SS Instrument cluster second hand. It has zero km's on it. Will this fit straight in place of my existing cluster? Will the tacho work ok even though it is out of an 8 cylinder going into the standard V6? Are the km's stored in the cluster unit or logged in the ECU?

The sound quality is very poor with the factory stereo in the VZ. No treble response. Has anyone just upgraded the door speakers and not the head unit with good results?

Has anyone been able to reprogram their ECU in a VZ for greater power? I see powerchip offer to upgrade the firmware but it's very expensive.
