So if you get the HSV headers with the big cats that are also fitted stock on a VF1 they will bolt to the factory catback on a VF2

I was told on this forum that hsv triys wouldn't bolt up to the cat on the VF2 as it was different than the VF1. So to make it clear will they work or not?

It is a big ripoff holden charging for map updates. Hyundai and Manda etc do free updates at the service intervals.

I would have thought that the 2nd to 3rd automatic shifts would have changed before going into cutout mode? Isn't it just a calibration issue where the change should occur before the rev limiter kicks in?

These companies that claim massive power increases are just that a claim. All dyno's vary and are just a tuning tool. Realistically a safetune will increase only around 10 - 12 kw over the stock tune. Also a lot of so called custom dyno tunes from some of the bigger players are only a flash...

Like I said I am impressed with the look and finish and fit of the product. Having the MSE fitting was also what sold it for me as well. Many independent dyno tests on the Chevy SS forum claim an 11-13 hp increase over the standard intake.

When I bought it it cost me around $520 with the dry filter option and shipping.

My wagon had the ball front and the flat flange rear so I will have to look out for one of those.

Pulling the relay will keep the exhaust open all the time. Many threads on this forum about this.

For those who are interested I have found an exhaust shop that make a triy header and cat package that will fit up to the oem catback system on a VF2 using the original loom for the 02 sensors. The shop is Extracted Performance exhaust in Dandenong Victoria.

Is the standard VF2 system 2.25inch? If so I don't think it would make much difference then the rear bimodal mufflers inlet is probably 2.25 inch then so it will match up ok. What HSV's would have these been off if they are only 2.25inch? I think most buyers of these are doing it for the sound...

I see on Ebay there are quite a few like new HSV mid section exhausts for $150. I have been told and read there are a lot of people using these to replace between the cats and the rear mufflers for more sound and maybe a slight power increase. I am just wondering who has done this on a VF2 and...

Where do you get a GTS mid section from?
