normally yes BUT! as stated bye you 22's are illegal because you can not maintain the same rolling diameter 20's 30 profile on 245's 22's 30 profile on 245's same profile bigger rim .in short the wheels are bigger ... :/
and as for the speedo well in all honesty it will probably make it...
Umm ok ... you kinda just contradicted yourself in saying the wheels are bigger then stock overall diameter
but dont effect the clearances when lowering ...anywayyyyy ..
I would like to know if the fe2 shocks/struts are more suited to lowering opposed to the standard suspension ?
Cheers Doug
I'm also about to lower my VE ! I was going for sl or ssl "see how much room i have when the 22's get fitted" all around but I have a Calais v with fe2 suspension.
Do you guys still think it is req to get shortened struts and shocks even with the fe2 suspension?
Cheers Doug.
its because it is not getting a signal from the bcm to start because the vs has a transponder key and will not let the car start with out that signal .
And to old mate running the auto ecu you will find it will idle high your fuel economy ill be atrocious you will have bad over run to the point...
sounds more like something has been left in there and jammed between the chain and sprocket if the timing was out it would just wind over and bend all the valved not snap the chain
Pretty common for the wiring from the battery to the starter motor to corrode really badly if you follow the cable from the back of the alternator into the wiring loom pull some of the tape and plastic covers off and put a slice in the red insulation and see if it is full of green powder if so...
the car will never run right unless you get the proper manual ecu and engine bay wiring loom because the ecu does not know how fast the car is going wont idle right will get terrible fuel econemy and myn even threw a few flames out the exhaust when i was using my auto ecu when slowing from high...
Yere that is why im asking i would usually do all the seal and so on while the engine is out but this engine is mint has not been washed down at all and not a drop of oil any where all the coolant passages are clean as and the rocker gear is silver instead of burnt oil orange .
Has been really...
Im swapping my clubby motor over at the moment due to what appears to be a crank thrust bearing failure are there any seals i should be changing while i have the motor on the stand im not doing the rear main cause
(A) It's not leaking
and
(B) it is an ass of a job
The motor that is going...
well what did you swap over because getrag computer wont read speedo output from t5 and vice versa same as with the auto's they use a different way of sending pulses to the ecu
No gearbox will not mount up you .You cant even bolt it up with the right gearbox as you have transfer the starter motor to the other side of the motor with a adapter plate from castle main knob shop and the matching aftermarket starter to suit you will need about $1800 spare just for the mounts...
my clubby does this when doing a fast sharp uturn when my tank is below half i have been told bye a holden mechanic that it is just a bad swirl pot design in the fuel tank .
i was going to fit a after market swirl pot and external pump after i finish rebuilding my motor
cheers doug
Have you calibrated your fuel consumtion computer in your cluster cause 7.5 to 9L per 100 should get you alot further then 500km's .
I was getting just over 700 km's out of my vs clubby when it was auto on the highway doing between 120 and 140 kmh .
Can anyone make sence of this vs s pack exec clubsport ....:hmmm:

It's a very popular trend with american muscle cars at the moment having 20's on the rear and 18 or 19's on the front looks like an abortion but thats just my opinion.
Cheers Doug
