well I gave it a service, and replaced both shift solenoids, but only a very small improvement, still slipping 2nd gear :(

thanks guys, after driving it around for a while it seems to be only 2nd gear that's the problem, flares going into 2nd, and coming out into 3rd, all other gears, 1,3,4,and reverse are fine no slipping, but second slips.

oil level and color seems ok, might service it anyway

i have noticed if I push it in second gear, it slips.

Hi all, I have a VT Berlina that was factory 5 litre but now has a LS1 and auto from what I believe was a VY, when it gets hot (operating temp) the trans "flares" through the gears wether upshifting or downshifting, any ideas what could be causing this?

Hey guys I just tried this tonight and had a problem. When using the series 2 loom, the stop lights were very dim, which ever way I tried it, it was always dim, had to put the original series 1 loom back in with the clear indicator globe til I work out whats wrong, anyone got an idea?

so after calling like 6 or 7 places I gave up and called Ultimate

I called Mantello Holden but they have nothing, not even interested in getting any as far as I could tell, but yeh the guys in qld do a good job making them just a bit pricey

I ended up getting one from that mob in QLD Ultimate Power Steering, bit pricey at $90.50 + $25 postage, but got it the next day and fitted it with no problems, I think they might be the only people making them at this stage, couldn't get one anywhere here in Melbourne.............

Hey guys, i have a vu ute and cant seem to locate the fuel filter. A search on here tells me it could be in the tank, underneath, or under a lift off panel in the rear tray area. Just wondering if someone can give me a definate answer. Its a VU series 2 V6 s pack. Thanks.

Hey all, would a 1600kg towbar on my VU ute be ok for occasionaly towing a tandem trailer with car? Been looking online for heavy duty 2100kg towbars for it but cant seem to find any, all info appreciated thanks.
