Hi, sorry for weird question, but got a commo Trimatic in hotrod and no shifter so can someone tell me what position the shifter would be if the actual gearbox lever is pushed forwards?? Park or low gear? Thanks

hey, finally got the old VK running sweet (almost) it is a 202 black with auto. When driving sedately it appears to be all good and no problems. Auto shifts well etc and engine is great (Holley and exhaust). But if I load it up and back off quickly I get a clunk sound from diff area. There...

took her for a bit of a run after setting timing and holley, and she goes a lot better than I was expecting. I also replaced 4 of those crappy little rubber hooks on exhaust (only had 1 out of 4 holding it on ! LOL) and so much quiter now. Once she warms up it is a pleasure to drive. j

has new leeds and plugs (resistance checked all leeds and good), new dizzy cap, new coil, all connections checked, new module, getting good blue spark out end of leeds. So I am looking elsewhere now, and a mate is going to look at Holley over weekend as the plugs are getting soaked in fuel, but...

thanks guys, yes there is NO computer in the EST as already running electronic dizzy. All seems to be hooked up etc and getting a bit of spark at plugs but does not seem strong. I had some dodgy wiring with ignition switch when I removed the crappy old imobiliser so will re-solder all joins...

all done. tried all of the above. brand new leads checked 10 x times over. but will go over everything again when I get time. I tried the old plugs, new plugs, etc and all gapped right etc j

having a frustrating time with my project car. it is a black 202 carby VK with an electronic dizzy. I tried some Bosch plugs and it ran then crapped itself after 5 seconds. and now wont start. It cranks and sounds like it wants to start but no go. checked all fuses...OK SInce then...

dont do it, I had an electric choke (new) on my Holley and nothing but a pain in the $#%^. Spent hours trying to tune it and still no good, so went for manual set up. See HUME Performance and for about $60- get the manual choke conversion. j

pics of new interior. turns out it may be the pick up module in dizzy as getting spark and fuel. so will try and get that doen soon, if running price will go up.

thanks and it will stay blue and the exterior is white with brock ss kit, so looking great so far! just need a nice V8 and then all set. j

now has a full proper cerulean blue interior in almost spotless condition. Now that alone is worth some $$'s Also replaced a lot of the ignition parts trying to get it started again, but still havinf issues. So as is if someone is serious my absolute bottom dollar is $2700- as is.
