From my understanding you will require a complete kit form holden, or somewhere else if you can find it. It has to be wired to the accelerator and brake pedal (+clutch if manual) there is one or two threads around on what exactly is needed.

Cruise can be fitted, however you will require the module aswell as the indicator stalk

could be the battery on its way out, or a bad earth. Check the terminals are tight and clean. My old VR use to start like that, i found the earth cable only had two or three strands of copper connected to the battery, fixed that and it started like a normal car 9 times out of 10

remember it will flash 12 three times before flashing any other code, did you wait to see if the fourth code was 12 or something different?

it will run a bit rough and will more than likely make the engine run rich on fuel, not sure how many wires the 5l are

Sounds like your due for a new key!!!! If you have a spare try it and see if it makes a difference, that should give you some idea where the problem is.

Your best bet is to go to your local holden dealership, or most higher end locksmiths sell them. You will end up at both anyway as holden don't cut the blades, they only program they key head by plugging a tech 2 into your car. From memory the VR doesn't come with the wiring for a remote boot...

could be a few things - a bad earth, check that your battery terminals are secure and clean - the most likely culprit will be your key which you will have to go to holden and get a new one programmed.

Use Cope(COPE sensitive freight) or Sadliers, Use them both at work and can't fault them

We Use them (Theives Not Transporters) every week at work to send a couple of pallets to queensland from perth. So much stuff has gone missing it is not funny. It either gets stolen or takes over 2 weeks to get delivered. I do believe COPE are quite good as mentioned above.
