HELP!! Cranks over but Won't Start - Code 12 (no errors)

I was testing the simple things again, fuel, etc... when i noticed that although my leads would give a nice good big blue spark, almost all of the actual plugs weren't giving a very good spark (when rested against the block while the engine is being cranked over * Hako*) due to being fouled...

HELP!! Cranks over but Won't Start - Code 12 (no errors)

Hey, I've checked out most of the "Won't Start" threads and have found no answer so far. - I'm hoping for some advice before i go buying parts and spending a fortune. - The case: My Clutch Pressure plate fingers wore out (which meant i couldn't engage my clutch) so i pulled into the...

    how to change clutch cable?

Hi Ital, on a V6 VR it's quite simple: 1) remove the black plastic cover above your pedals by removing the plastic screw/plugs 2) remove the heating ducting in front of the clutch pedal - you may have to remove the end piece that puts air through to the door vents to get this out...

How do I fit mesh to front bar

I used fibreglass filler, actually incredibly easy, as the lads haev said above: cut your mesh wider than your vent holes and bend the sides around , then i mixed the filler with the hardner and pressed it all through the mesh holes onto the sides. Rock solid, Looks neat, Cheap & Easy.

POLL: black mesh vs silver mesh?

Jamie-b I thought about black mesh, but because my car is already dark green I went with Sliver. I think it came up really well. if i can get online at home i'll post a pic for you. I personally don't see the point of using mesh unless you have an IC to protect, but I think your car would...

    [Ecotec] Resonator size question

Hey jhawk, - Length determines the top end frequency filter and - Diameter determines the low end frequency filter of your exhaust note Just like on ported speaker enclosures. So for e.g. A 4" output will give a very low bottom end filter frequency. So you will hear a much deeper...

    [Ecotec] resonator or not?

eh, I've got one installed but they don't seem to make much of a difference over the standard CATs. I have found they both cause a lot of resistence in the exhaust system. The pores are generally larger on the Hi-flow CATs but there doesn't seem to much of a difference at all between them and...

    [Ecotec] resonator or not?

Hi Craig, I've had quite a few exhaust systems, what combination you decide to use really depends on what sound you like: 1.) A stock system = quiet normal sound 2.) Stock + Catback 2.5" with mid and rear muffler = better breathing, a little deeper and louder than stock 3.)...

    VN-VP-VR SC14 How To

Yeah, either/or. If I use solid bends I'll join the pipes on the straight sections with the pipes butted together. You also have to remember that your engine moves quite a bit under normal operation, so you have to have a couple of flexible bends or straight joins somewhere to absorb the movement.

    VN-VP-VR SC14 How To

I checked with Foamy, No difference in the tune wether the TB is before or after the blower. Bz_Kn33z, yeah i do have an IC, hence my question to wether there is any alternative to using metal bends to stop the silicon bends compressing. It's ok, i'll suss it out, for now i've put my TB back...

    VN-VP-VR SC14 How To

"...or cut up some spare pieces of the piping and put them inside the bends and hose clamp them in to make sure they dont move..." - needwork2-4fillhabbit lol, cool that's exactly what i did. i will have to bite the bullet and spend the money buying the bends then weld 'em together.

    VN-VP-VR SC14 How To

Hi Bz Kn33z, I'm trying to get my head around what you mean. The issue isn't boost pressure in the piping, it's the vacuum. I can see what you mean by how a bypass valve would take load off the blower when the TB is closed and it has no air to take in, but I don't understand how that will...

VS rough on start up, then fine

CommodoreMan, Try removing, cleaning the seats and reinstalling your Injectors. I had this issue when i upgraded my injectors. Apparently i was getting the slightest vac leak around one of my injectors until a little warmth from the engine expanded the components and closed the leak. I...

    VN-VP-VR SC14 How To

Hi Lads, I'm machining a pulley to suit my CRS kit and plumbing 3" s/steel piping to the IC, so my blower ins't on atm. I had my TB in front of the blower, but when you close the TB all your silicon bends suck in and compress, which means when you press the throttle, the air flow/pressure...

    Odd vibration around 80km/h

Stocky, check your disc rotors aren't worn unevenly. Free spin your wheels when your car is jacked up and see if the unladen brake pressure is even for the full rotation of each wheel. if not that'll be where your harmonic vibration is coming from. My mate (VN) had it, got his discs...

Help - VR Serious Problem - will be something simple

Ok Solved!! I removed the injectors and fuel rail, dismantled fuel rail to check seals, cleaned the injector seats and rings, reassembled fuel rail, and reinstalled the injectors. Fixed!! Must have been a Vac leak through one of the injector seals. Just as Watejs06 predicted Thanks Guys

Can you make the clutch pedal lighter

Hi Guys, As the title says, is there any way to make the clutch pedal lighter in a 1995 Series II VR Manual V6? It's really hard to depress and i'm sure it could do with a new clutch soon sometime anyway. Anyone every played with this?

Boosting up - Use 2 or 3 Bar MAP sensor??

Hi Guys, I'm currently running a Blower with a pulley that only gives me about 2.5psi (which actually gives me only 1.5 psi Positive Boost because without the blower the Boost/Vac reading at full throttle under full load is 2 inches Hg below 0 and with the blower on, it pushes the reading up...

Exhaust / Catalytic flanges, Exhaust swapping

Yeah Man, 2.5" Cat back Exhaust will bolt straight onto the stock Cat no dramas. Also a good idea is to make sure you use a new gasket and maybe even some muffler putty on the new gasket for a nice good tight seal. HoldenOnn: check your quote against the OP, it's different??? the OP...

can u mess with cruise controll so its useable before 40ks?

It'd be interesting to know if the cruise module would acutally function correctly at lower speeds, perhaps the modules processor is not fast enough to be smooth at those lower speeds, hence the cut off speed??? The processor may not have enough polling intervals to read the data from the...

    electronic supercharger?
