    Filling gap from plastic pinstripe

Another quick fix cheap option could always be to sand/cut down the existing strip just below the height you want it. Then fill with some bondo, sikaflex or what ever you decide and then sand smooth ready for paint :)

Do my VE brakes need replacing

So would it be worth replacing the rotors, I thought machining them would hit make them thinner making them more susceptible to warping. Will take them in to the mechanic on Monday. Thanks guys

Do my VE brakes need replacing

Hey all, over the last few weeks I've noticed my brakes shudder under heavy load. Mainly when going down a decent sized hill or braking fairly hard. Before I take it in and get the mechanics to look at it I thought I would ask the question. I'm more than comfortable changing the discs but would...

    Applying Bodyfiller

Basically you should be trying to fix the panel as best you can and if Possible avoid body filler. Go get a panel beating kit from super cheap auto for 30 bucks and slowly hit the dings out. Make sure you only hit where a dolly is placed behind and don't hit it to hard. You should also be...

A Basic Backyarders Guide to Spraypainting.

It works good getting the glue of but I do worry that you are putting a lot of heat on the panel. Heat = panel warpage. I noticed that when you were rubbing the glue if with the rag that the panel flexed a few times. Heating the panel too much may weaken it and make it more prone to getting...

Next time you have to be in two places at once to check something set your phone on video camera and film the light whilst turning the key. Just play back the video to check it. :)

    Any panel beaters out there?

    Any panel beaters out there?

If the parts are compatible which I'm sure they will be it would just be as simple as un bolting your panels and bolting the new ones on. Where bouts you located?
  25. mattytess

    Possible DIY?

Can you not just loosen the bolts on the fender. Get a mate to push on the panel to closer/open the gap until its even, then you tighten the bolts. Trial and error until you have it set right?

    Tailshaft

I know sometimes if I get a tight nut I sometimes try tighten it a little first and then loosen it and this often works. If that's no good can you not carefully just grind the heads of and put new nuts and bolts in. I know it's not ideal but it may save time and headache.

what did you do to your car today?

VE check engine light on, low oil pressure

Mechanic has been good to me and rarely charges me for minor repairs on my car. Is very thorough and I'd highly recommend him. So it he says around 2gs it probably going to be cheaper. I guess it's a fair amount if work to get to the timing chain. Probably could do it myself for a fraction of...

VE check engine light on, low oil pressure

Hi guys. My 06 v6 omega is playing up. The check engine light came on today and stays on. I took it to the mechanic an the scan tool says the oil pressure is low. Mechanic said its either a faulty sensor or my timing chain is stretched. Apparently the timing chains have a fault since factory and...

Back to what you said early about the rear main. S1 vn have a rope seal so your crank needs to come out. But the manual does say you can pack it tighter and just cut a portion Of a new seal and jam it into the area you packed Obviously your sump would need to come off for that which means so...
