Thank you for your reply. I checked the voltage at both the connections and at the battery and the voltage is the same. Also, the connections are clean.

I have 14 volts at the battery with the engine running, Alternator Good. I have 12.8 Volts at the battery with the engine off. The battery voltage goes to 10 volts when the starter motor is energised. The starter motor just cranks the engine over (slowly). Can anyone give advise to determine if...

I have a VS Commodore Acclaim. Sometimes when I attempt to start the car nothing happens, On second attempt the car starts. I have changed the start relay and the battery is okay. Anyone have any other ideas?
