It is defiantly not the motor seizing up. Some of the advice on this forum is laughable. If sounds like from what your describing it is the fuel pump, but also while it's running lift up the bonnet and have a look around, might be a pulley whine your hearing
Did you check the power steering level? Might be a pump on the way out? My money would be On an idler on the way out. I would check levels before you start buying things( that's a given). Spare parts at Holden will hook u up with a fill in piece.
I use repco or nulon in my cars, whichever is cheapest on the day. I don't read to much into it, it's only coolant. If it says it's for commodores, well it must be alright.
I'd take the car.not hard to sell a 2012 hsv 20k under the new price. Reminds me of that dick in America who won the lotto. 50 mill straight up or 100 mill over the next 20 years. Chose the 50.
25, underground fitter, have owned a lot of commodores, recently sold my Ss, just got a daily shitbox now, spending the cash to restore a racing manx norton. Too many projects on the go.
Ls series motors are getting cheap as these days, buying a car smacked up the arse is a good idea, motor, k frame, brakes. Let us know how it turns out.
Good trade to be in mate, not hard, like anything though, just listen and ask if you don't understand. As for being smoko bitch, I dunno where some people have worked, but there's no shop at my work.
Tough **** to him, going around threatening people while they are at work, got what he deserved. No sympathy for scumbags that a lot of you seem sorry for.
I remember when I was a poor apprentice driving around with a rubber mallet for a week or two saving for a fuel pump lol. I would take it to a local mechanic, sounds like a fuel pump.
I would buy the latest model with the lowest Kay's, that you can afford, thats my rule of thumb. Modifications don't come into it as far as I'm concerned.
I think that should still be law. There's no need to drive 30 under the speed limit when towing the van. I can see it now, old xd towing a van spinning up the street hehehehe
