There is a "how to" on the ls1 forum. It is a piece of cake to do, only takes about 45-60mins. I had to do the same on my ss last weekend, i thought it was going to be more involved, but not a chance, soo simple

Sounds like it is in limp mode to me. Have you unplugged anything in the engine bay at all and havent fully clipped it back in?

Top strut bushes might be dead mate. Same thing happened to my old VY Equip a few years back. Replaced them and it was good as gold. My wife's VY wagon had the same thing for the last few months (lazy i know) and i changed both struts and strut bushes, and it is gone, not to mention alot tighter...

I reckon the iso cables are the way to go these days, as it is neat and easy to take out if you ever want to put in the factory unit. I think you will still need to get a dash fascia though as the vy/vz dash is bigger than the average lol

Its not hard at all. There is only one or two bolts that you need to undo and take out so you can move the alternator. As for the belt, take a pic on your phone or draw something up on paper so you know which way it goes back on.

I understood the whole "stretch" side of things, but i was under the impression that if it was torqued to the right setting, there wouldnt be any issues, cause its not be tightened past its limit. I think i will just reuse them, and just use loctite aswell. Cheers for the reply

Hi all, Just a question about stretch bolts for the vy struts. I have seen on another forum saying you need to replace the stretch bolts, is this right? Why cant you use the same ones?
