Just bought a 2nd hand GM tow bar for my VT. i have 2 questions 1- Where does the trailer plug connect too? couldnt find a spare plug in the boot. 2- how big does the hole in the bumper have to be cut? hope someone can help as i'm in the process of doing it now. thanks edit - all sorted now...

G'day I've just bought a tow bar for my 99 VT and now i want to wire up a trailer plug. I have a workshop manual for my 93 VP with the wires listed on the diagram, just wondering if they would be the same wires on the VT? If not could someone scan the trailer plug diagram for a VT...

Unsure is anyone has found this or if its normal but my VT executive didn't have an Orange/White wire for constant. It has an Orange/Black instead. + Cheers, this helped me alot. Specially the coat hanger trick.

i had a sort of simular problem with my VP v6. i bought brand new ngk plugs for it, ran like ****, put the original GM plugs back in and it ran normal again. i'd also test the power at the fuel pump make sure its steady and fuel and oil filter. i've had alot of trouble with my vp. 5 fuel pumps...

There is no access to a trailer or tow truck today.... thats the problem really. Say i was to tow it, would it harm the car? I see people towing each other all the time? We have done it before but only manuals.

Hi I've got a problem with my VP. It makes a clunk/creak noise from the front left hand side whenever i go over the speed bumps in town (and yes i slow right down for all of them) and also when i hit some of the potholes. its usually only really noticable when i have a passenger in the front...

I did what yas suggested and seems alright.. The steering feels a bit firmer/heavier i guess.. I'm assuming thats normal for it considering it has brand new bushes? they are the blue hard rubber type ones

When i did them, i had the car jacked up off the ground and on chassis stands with the front wheels off and swaybar bolts loosened so it had movement. I don't really get what you mean

Hi. I replaced the swaybar linkage rods and bushes with brand new items but the car now pulls to the left. They are tightened the same both sides. I cant figured it out. What am i missing here?

What else can i check then? Ball joints? How do i check them? Jack the front end up and play around with a pry bar?

My cars steering wheel wobbles a little bit when driving so i had a look and the swaybar linkage rods (called stabiliser rods in the haynes book) seem to have decent amount of movement in them. I can visually see that the rubber bushes are cracked and perishing. I have order a replacement kit...

Oh true.. thats good to know. I think i will just run a n/a with a turbo at around 10psi for awhile and build up a spare motor ever a period of time.. Cheers

What if i hi flowed a t3? and upped the fuel pressure? i'd like it around 200-210kw.. something to have little bit of fun with. Would things like a better intake manifold or a turbo manifold do much for power? I don't want to spend heaps but i don't want to be stingey either. I know my way...

So like.. a higher pressure bosch fuel pump and lines? And some original vl turbo injectors? I know i'd have to get the gearbox and diff sorted aswell..

I was told no. The VN S1 balancer is different to the VN S2 and VP balancers. So i'd say the ecotech wouldnt fit.. The holden dealer wanted my engine number to be perfectly sure. Hope this helps

I had to replace mine about 2 months ago, i couldnt get the nut undone. Me and my old man both tried every possible thing we could think of and still nothing. Drove it to the local mechanic and he changed it for $77 (we supplied a brand new balancer) and he also adjusted the kickdown cable...

I found it under the front passenger seat whilst cleaning my VP exec.. It has the GM stamp and a number that reads "90224624" Can anyone please tell me where its from?
