Boy does this need an update... but I don't have the time. Many things have happened, engine is back on the car - it'll be back better than ever soon enough :)

Heads were MLS finished last time, just a clean should be all that's needed this time.

HAHA, nope. Shiny clean before it all goes back together. Keen to drive something with actual torque again, the subi is great but nothing beats v8 torque. Subi parts are piss easy, they're everywhere - for the liberty's at least.

Really? fair enough then. I thought the motor they used would've been physically bigger than an LS, but maybe in the right areas. The AWD is really awesome though, in the video turbo yoda said they didn't use the LS because of the displacement and that they could get away with lower displacement...

Absolutely frothed hard over that stagea, would love to own one one day. But, it should've been LS, using that japanese v8 was just a lot of work for not much gain - still awesome though.

Sure have, epic car. Super gramps runs the bigger EZ36 (3.6L) out of a tribecca. The liberty's came out with flat 6 cylinder options as EZ30's (3L) I've driven one of those and they're really impressive, would love to turbo one at some stage. Not massive power but plenty enough to have a lot of fun.

It's a smaller car than the commodore (good), but I haven't had any issues with space. I've had an ecotec and an engine crane in the back (seats down) before so I'd say that's plenty of room.

Checking in to say this is the best car I've ever owned, reliable, fun to drive, comfortable, good on fuel and looks great. Loves it :thumbsup:

Summit order arrived the other week, good **** ready to go in. Over the next few months the motor will be coming out for a cam swap, new surge tank going in with the DW350il replacing the 044.

Lol, not yet. Turned it on today, still runs.

don't you have to machine the front timing cover too? double rows still break. the stock one has kept up fine so far, I don't really see the need for it. Still billet, nice and strong. Just easier to fit and get the whole cam swap done quicker. + more money to spend on fuel pumps ;)

Nope, single row. Double's a pain in the rear for little if any gains.

Cheers man, I've been running the stock in-tank pump with the fuel regulator disabled, feeding a surge tank with a single bosch 044. However, I hate the 044. It's loud as ####, not during normal operation but when it heats up it starts screaming it's head off + you know, not e85 compatible...

Loving the new clutch, so light and has more than one level of engagement unlike that last one which was on or off.. Haven't really been able to drive it hard, still needs to bed in, will be interested to see if it changes much during that time. Loving it so far though. Next up is to install...

Bloody amazing tyres. Hard for me to compare them with heat, at winton they seemed to cope very wheel but I don't really have enough experience to say more than that. It's actually a spigot puller haha, but helpful for bushes too! Got it from a place called qualitool in geelong.

Pretty sure you earn more than me ;) All the whiteline stuff I got really cheap and the RXT is actually priced pretty well.
