Hey guys, looking at relocating my battery and was wondering where the VE's keep em in the utes... I know in the sedan its on the passenger side of the boot, jus not sure bout the ute aye... Any pics would be very helpful cheers...

I wouldnt buy a '06 VE, the first year models are always the ones with all the problems... Get a '07 or later to be safe IMO...

They VE is a great looking car, It does need to be updated (as its been about 4 years since it came out) which my mate who works at Holden's has told me it will soon. He said think of it as the "VT to VX upgrade..." HSV on the otherhand need to go back to the drawing board with their exterior...

There is no difference and the K&N filters and similar do not filter as well as paper filters do and the power increase is virtually nil despite some claims of 2-5kw lol which even if true would mean nothing anyway... Stick to paper unless u are going for a proper OTR...

Just a quick one, not a big deal but you have the passenger floor mat on the drivers side and drivers on the passenger side lol but btw its one very nice looking SS you have there.. engine bay looks great!

dont want to go riping the motor out just yet... plus if i got a cam i would hav a higher target then 250... like 280-300rwkw with some internals done whilst the motor's out the car... is there anything small i can get, without going to a cam atm, to get me to 250 on a 'good' dyno.. lol...

do not put hsv badges on it lmao not sure what is worse Chev or hsv badges on a holden... I would just take the badges off personally if you were going to do anything to them... I would lower it put some 19's on and leave the Berlina/Calais kit on, if you did this not only would ur car look...

You should try the Philips Crystal vision globes to match the LED's you hav on the front... They are much closer white to your leds and are just as reliable as ur standard globes...

I only run Shell V-Power 98 in my SS... The only real noticeable change is more k's and the more the better especially in an 8 lol...

Yea I'm getting the alloy otr from hp-f and will get a mafless tune (real time) after that a cam might be on the way... Just looking at manifolds because I wanted to get a new one on before the tune as I do atleast want a ls2 manifold with a 4bolt throttle body...

not all LS1's were cable.., VZ LS1's had the electric throttle body's as well... Still using 3 bolt though as all Gen 3 motors do... just a fun fact lol

Hey guys looking at new manifolds and not sure what to look at... Best bang for buck is what im after I guess... I have a VZ LS1 and I have seen LS2 manifolds up for sale claiming to fit the LS1 with no issues... If this is correct would a L76/L98/LS3/LS7 etc... fit as they are all gen4 motors...

Its not the only place holden have put a button in the VE that doesnt work... How about the Nav button on the Calais and SS-V's that didnt get the nav option added...
