from what i remember my mothers vt used to do the same and when hitting a bump it would make the clicking/zzzzz noise. Replaced the stalk and no more noise.

i bought one brand new in the box from a wreckers for $175 and just out of 2 years it started to leak so i recently bought another off ebay for $99 delivered. if i get another 2 years out of this one ill be happy because ill change the coolant at the same time anyway.

^no CAS in a v8, its a Hall effect sensor. my old vr ss did the same thing once and it turned out to be the hall effect sensor in the dizzy

in the door frame there's a piece of rubber that stops the window rattling around when its up (im guessing? might even be for when its down actually) anyway just as the window gets to the top it touches this rubber piece and thats what make the noise. if you pull the door trim off and look down...

maybe the brake switch behind the pedal is buggered and its earthing out?

Thats works with mine but only about half the time.

my vy seems to do it occasionally also. if i park at the shops, get out and press the lock button it wont do anything so i end up locking it with the key itself but when i come back to the car later on it works fine. Ive also had it do it the other way where it wont unlock and ive had to unlock...

ive also had several alloy rims welded on the inner lip and didn't have a problem. its when it cracks through a spoke that its dangerous and best off to get a new rim.

i take it you mean the passenger seat over to the drivers side? if so, im pretty sure you can swap the base of the seats (the cushion part that your bum goes on) over but thats it.

yes i read you're meant to use white lithium grease instead of WD40/silicon spray etc so that's all i've every used on both cars i've had with sunroofs.

I was tossing up between getting an ss or a calais at the end of last year and went the calais. Reason was i wanted all the options that come with a calais plus mine has a sunroof and leather. Sometimes i wish i got an ss but really at the end of the day my calais has the same engine/power anyway.

id say up on ramps would be best

with the state of that wiring i wouldn't even bother trying to solder it all, id just grab another loom from someone wrecking a vt.

^i think the brace that goes along the roof gets moved back. i would get someone professional to do it because it wont take much to #### it up and it'll leak when it rains or may sit crooked if not done properly and its not like you can easily fix it.

go to holden and get it turned off with the tech2. police cars have the traction control disabled from the factory and this is how its done.

Not without a massive amount of messing around. gearboxs are different, wiring is different etc. Plus legally you couldn't get it registered anyway as its an older engine.
