I now have a damaged rear bar thanks to a lady in a white excel... interested :)

    Rear ended...

To make an already average Tuesday all the more average, my beloved wagon was rear-ended today. Rear bar, including reversing sensors is cracked and ripped open. Boot door lip is bent in. Question - Should I try for a HBD style rear bar (VY SS) or just stick with the standard? *

    VZ 9C1/SV6/Exec Wagon

Paz-6: Rear bar is in perfect nic, has proximity sensors too. $50 sounds fine. No pick up though, $600 postage. Let me know if you're interested :) Smurftec: Has a larger throttle body and a switch that bypasses all interior lights except the glove box... must be something to do with sneaky...

    VZ intake idea

Hadn't considered that conundrum, but it makes sense I guess. Thanks for the heads up! Anyone else with experience/opinions? Seems like the two-hole MCAI might be the best bet.

    VZ intake idea

Did you notice any difference in economy/performance with the mod?

True that. That was one thing playing on my mind... any suggestions for guarding against it?

    VZ intake idea

Hi all, So I have been mulling over improving the intake on my VZ wagon. It is currently fitted with an SS front bar, with the standard fog light arrangement. Just wondering if anyone has seen/tried using the two holes in the bar as intake ports? Even if you haven't, what do you see as the...

    My new Staffie pup!!

Honestly, we had those discussions in the first few months we had Sam also. He was fine with me, but a real terror for my wife. In some cases it was only hearing about the calm that comes after the storm (read: first 12ish months) that kept us going. Glad we have and I am sure you will be too.

    My new Staffie pup!!

Thanks! He is really starting to fill out. If he is anything like his parents he is going to be an absolute bruiser. Thankfully, he is a big sook. We really started to notice him calming down from about 12 months... but everyone we speaks to says it is normally at 2 or 3 that they settle. So...

    My new Staffie pup!!

CUTE!! We have a English Staffy (currently asleep at my feet), who is about 14 months. He is starting to calm, and turning into a lovely little guy :) He comes from show lines, but due to a little procedure he won't be getting into the ring. Attached a pic of him as a pup and another a...

    Road trip! (Newcastle-Adelaide-Toowoomba-Newcastle)

Ok, so am now thinking that the route to Adelaide via Bathurst/Parks is a goer. Anyone with suggestions for Adelaide - Broken Hill? Is heading north to Burra, or east to Mildura the way to go? Sounds like Toowoomba could be an interesting stop... thankfully it is just for a wedding, not a...

    Road trip! (Newcastle-Adelaide-Toowoomba-Newcastle)

So, now I'm thinking - why on earth am I not going through Bathurst?! Haven't been through there since I was on my L's in an '89 Pajero... could be a little different this time. Bathurst - West Wyalong anyone?

    Road trip! (Newcastle-Adelaide-Toowoomba-Newcastle)

Thanks heaps for the ideas! We've done the Mildura/Renmark route into Adelaide a few times and wanted to try something different. But if it as boring as you suggest, maybe 'same same' is the way to go. Any particular experience with the route through Gilgandra/Goondiwindi that makes it a...

    Road trip! (Newcastle-Adelaide-Toowoomba-Newcastle)

One of the benefits of being a teacher is holidays... there, I said it. Anyway, this coming holidays we have two weddings in two weekends - one in Adelaide, SA the other in Toowoomba, Qld. So it's road trip time, right? A good excuse to give the new wagon a spin. The currently planned route...

    Raising to Fe2

I believe it has been lowered using Pedders springs/struts to SL, or whatever the nomenclature for 25mm below Fe2 is. I would like to raise it back up using Fe2 springs. Just confirming there will be no issue with a longer spring on the strut.

    VZ 9C1/SV6/Exec Wagon

So, here is our new family wagon. Family being my wife and I and the dog... at this stage. It's a 2004 VZ Wagon with the 9C1 spec, apparently a detectives car in it's first life. Following it's life in the hands of the department its had a cat-back system, SS rims, full Pedders suspension...

    Raising to Fe2

So I have recently bought a VZ Wagon which is sitting on Pedders suspension at what the owner says is '25mm' below Fe2. I am keen to experiment with raising it back up to Fe2 standard, as I can get some cheap springs. I understand some of the difficulties in mismatching suspension hardware...

    VZ Auto 'Power Shift'

Just having a quick play this afternoon the difference was noticeable, if not stark. I can clearly see the benefits for towing, heavy load carrying (I've got a wagon). For a bit of weekend fun, it probably helps slightly too :)

    VZ Auto 'Power Shift'

Wouldn't think of it, I am as much in favour of frugality as I am fun :)

    VZ Auto 'Power Shift'

So in other words, the clutch is more aggressive between shifts? Meaning quicker shifts along with shift points higher up the rev range? Sounds fun... Thanks people!

    VZ Auto 'Power Shift'

Thanks! It is as I suspected :) Anyone have any figures on its impact on economy?

    VZ Auto 'Power Shift'

Hi all, Glad to be able to legitimately join, having just taken possession of a VZ Wagon 9C1 spec, plus a few other little bits and pieces. In the center console there is button labelled 'PWR' which brings up a 'PWR Shift' dialogue on the dash display. I can't seem to find any information...
