bugger,didnt notice that,lol. Drill the lock could be the only way then. Although,sometimes if your lucky a flat blade screwdriver in the centre of the lock & hit with a hammer will actually push the lock through so you can open the boot.

Easy fix,crawl into the boot through the middle seat opening & open it from inside the boot. Have done it before & its the only thing that works that i know of.

Done it several times. You dont need to change the whole door just the window regulators & looms. You will also need to check under your centre console if theres a big plug there for the master switch,if not then you will have to replace inside loom as well. You will also need to check your BCM...

Easy as job,send me a pm & will give you full step by step instructions,necessary wiring diagrams etc. If you have the plug for the main window switch under the shifter surround half the job is done

Sounds like a great idea for early commodores. Main question is though what about the VT onwards commodore?? I would get one but i need it to fit a VT but from memory the keyhead & the bcm are linked somehow or rather. If unknown,i would put my hand up to use one of my VT's as a test mule

I stand corrected,:doh:after some double checking the info i have appears out of whack in regards to the VT GTS but,still i stand by my answer & wouldnt worry about doing a swap,get a VT with an LS1 or just put some balls into what you have got

The main sensor you have to worry about is on the crank,this one tells you the position of the crank as it rotates. The 5.7 has 24x reluctor wheel & 1 cam gear while the 6.0 has a 58x reluctor wheel & 4x cam gear. To change these sensors you would normally have to remove the crank from memory...
